Progress Report - September 21, 2023 (Patreon)

Last week, I noted how I was in the final stages of the Life is Strange minivid, that I had the final 4k render going and it was just a matter of waiting for it to finish, editing, and releasing. I was planning to release on Tuesday. I said that you wouldn't hear from me until either the video released on Tuesday, or on Thursday if something catastrophic prevented the release from happening.

Well, the release didn't happen, and it's currently Thursday. So what's going on?

The long and short of it is, my sound designer isn't ready. He was spontaneously called upon by his sister to help her move across country.

From my understanding, the sound design is mostly done, and it's just a matter of him finishing up his composition for the soundtrack he put together for the piece.

I have no idea when he'll be done and ready to send it. I last spoke to him 3 days ago, where he said was finishing it up and will send it to me later that evening. I did not receive it. I suspect he was summoned to help his sister move, and that's where he's been since.

The video might release tomorrow. It might release a week from now. I honestly can't say. It's out of my hands.

Don't hold it against my sound designer. He's a good man, and I would rather he focus on helping his sister than spurn her for the sake of getting this video done. We can afford to wait a few days longer. We've waited this long already, after all. And it's not like I don't have other things to do.

You all voted to keep the SFW stuff separate from this Patreon, so I don't have much else to report. I'm focusing on getting the Linkin Park music video done, hoping to have it done next week. Once it's done, I will be putting together all the SFW social media. I'll make a quick post informing everyone where they can find it, but won't dwell on it.

After that music video is done, I return my focus to Overbreed. October will not have a minivid. I may start working on a minivid in mid-November, aiming for releasing on the start of December. I may push that off another month, instead starting in mid-December and aiming to release at the start of January. I haven't decided yet.

That's really about it. I apologize for the ongoing delays with the Life is Strange minivid, but it is what it is. The video's done on my end, and I absolutely love it. It's not by any means my best work, but for what it is, I think it works fantastically. I hope you all will enjoy it as much as I do, once I can finally share it with you all. And trust me, you want to wait for my sound designer - there's a reason I pay someone else to do it.

Monday's progress report will probably be anemic, as I'm focusing on SFW stuff and you all voted you didn't want to see that stuff here. But we'll see.
