June 1 - Public Progress Report - What Was Done In May, and Plans For June
Hello, everyone!
I try to make these progress reports on Thursdays, but June 1 being on Friday was too excellent to pass up. Plus I was really tired yesterday.
Gonna keep this really simple.
What Was Done In May?
- Radio Silence was released!
- Currently sitting at 2600 notes, it is one of the most popular projects I have released. It clocks in ahead of Miscellaneous Expenses, which was previously the highest-rated project released on this Tumblr account, and currently sits at 2300 notes.
- I only know of two other releases I have ever done which have exceeded that count: Bounty Booty breached 3000 notes before my previous account was nuked; and a Deathclaw animation that I asked Shadman to reblog is my highest-ever, petering at just north of 4000 notes.
- Radio Silence is the most expensive short I have ever produced, and is the second-most-expensive project I have released to date (Blue Star Episode 2 is the most expensive). In the 10 days since its early-access release, it made back its production cost in new & upgraded pledges. I never expect projects to make back their production cost, so this was extremely rewarding to see.

- Blue Star Episode 3 finished its dub-cue’ing!
- This was a long and painful process that involved placing, writing, and timing 395 distinct text elements in Premiere.
- It also involved a fair bit of rewriting; in addition to minor tweaks to dialogue, it involved completely rewriting the second stage of the sex scene - apparently, when I went through my phase of rewriting everything, I forgot to rewrite that stage. But now it’s about 10000% better than it was, and is in-line with the rest of the revised writing.
- It also involved creating an additional 40-ish seconds of unique animation; some of this animation was additional, others was replacing segments that just didn’t fit the new writing.
- In total, the raw sex scene is 19:51 in length - just shy of 20 minutes of pure sex. Here’s a picture of the Premiere timeline, with the individual stages back-to-back. In final production, it will end up being a bit longer, with the addition of a few non-dub dialogue scenes that have to be recorded and inserted.

- The Curvy Catsuit was completed!
- It will be released on Monday.
- A photo-set of Elizabeth in it will be released on Sunday.
- It will not have the corset variants - long story short, I wasted 8+ hours fitting them, only to discover I fitted the old version of the corset-pinch flex, and the variants don’t fit on the DazV4 Curvy ladies.
What Will Be Done In June?
June is going to be a catch-up month for me. Rather than work on a new short, I am going to focus on getting as many of the delayed and backlogged projects done as possible. I’ve put out Radio Silence, to great success, and I hope that is enough to convince most skeptics that I am still in the game, and I still have my mojo.
Alleviating those concerns, which were entirely valid after 4 months of constant delays and no releases, was my biggest priority. And now that I’ve done my best to alleviate them, I am going to back-track and try to clear out my backlog. It’s causing a lot of stress on my end.
Like before, I’m just gonna bullet-point this.
- The Leliana Short is my absolute first priority.
- I have all of Milly’s audio for it, and her entire dub sequence has been synchronized and installed; it’s just waiting for me to lip-sync (and seeing as most of it is spent with Leliana’s mouth full, there isn’t a lot to lip-sync) and detail.
- Ivan and I have found a new, more effective solution to the problems we were having, and are finalizing his contributions to the project.
- In total, I am hoping it will take me less than 2 weeks to get this done. I am expecting a week in Source Filmmaker finalizing everything, and a week in post (I intend to tackle the post-production myself; I think I can manage it). This is not a deadline, merely a hope; don’t get attached to this.

- A Femshep Micro is my next priority.
- At the end of April, I cast a new voice talent for Femshep, for a cameo role in Blue Star Episode 3. I think she makes a great Femshep, and I have planned for a while to make a micro animation to formally introduce the voice talent as the character.
- A Micro animation is a project that’s even shorter than a short, with no narrative context whatsoever. If you take a short, like Miscellaneous Expenses, and cut off the narrative before and after, leaving only the sex scene - that’s a Micro.
- The Micro was written and posted on Patreon a few months ago. If you’re impatient, you can read its screenplay here.
- Once the Micro enters production, I am hoping it to only take a week in total. That’s a pretty tight schedule for my voice talent, so we’ll see how well it actually plays out.

- A BAS Liz Micro is on the table.
- I’ve a voice talent who I personally think does a really good Burial at Sea Elizabeth. I’ve wanted one for a long while, and while Innie makes a great classic Elizabeth, she’s had a hard time getting BAS Liz’s signature sultry inflection and the range it spans. I have a Micro I’d like to do with her.

- Progress on the Elizabeth video is at the bottom of the heap, for a good reason.
- Without disclosing personal details, Innie is bouncing back from a new complication that resulted in her being unable to record for a few weeks. She is hoping to be able to get back into recording quickly, but unfortunately that is something outside her control. I won’t go into details, just know that she’s doing better than she was when everything went down.
- As you might imagine, this also puts Blue Star Episode 3′s future in a bit of a precarious situation. We’re hoping that Innie will be able to record again soon. She has about everything but the dub scene done for the Elizabeth video. If she doesn’t get into a situation where she can record soon... Well, that’s a bridge I don’t want to consider crossing unless I absolutely have to. And I think you all can agree with me on that.

So that’s where we are, and where we’re going. We had a great debut performance with Silky as Jill, and I know we’re going to have a great debut with the new voice of Femshep. Milly, as always, knocks it out of the park with Leliana, and I am confident that my BAS Liz will blow peoples’ socks off, too.
Lots of juicy things on the horizon. Just a matter of getting there!
Until next time, everyone!
