Right around this point (fans at the time speculated it was because of this episode), Nick pulled the show off the air and put it straight to online streaming. Their breath was just taken away by it

Long live the Queen indeed. This was definitely a shocking moment when it first aired. First, the idea of using airbending to literally bend the air out of someone was not something a lot of people even thought of, probably because Zaheer is the first "evil" airbender in the franchise. But also, it's Nickelodeon. They wouldn't even let them definitely kill Jet on screen so this was HUGE.
