This is such a beautiful trilogy and ends perfectly so as much as I’d love more it’s hard to imagine how they’d approach it. The existing animated series is supposed to be between movies 1 and 2 and cover how Astrid and Hiccup develop their relationship and how Berk adjusts to dragons. It’s a bit more child oriented in tone, but well done so I’m going to keep watching those to try to learn their full story. The live-action is supposed to be a reboot. Maybe they’ll follow the 12 novels more closely which the movies apparently didn’t. But I just wish they could have continued with the animated movies instead.

I kept thinking I saw it when I had watched this previously so I was specifically looking. During the scene in the hidden world you can see the leviathan that Toothless fought in amongst the dragons.

I rented this just so I could see your reaction. I knew it would be worth it. To me they are just one long movie, not 3 separate movies. I love the ending of this movie. Hiccup showing toothless his children was perfect. Also a suggestion I have already suggested is Nimona. But Kung Fu Panda is great and so is Big Hero 6. A beautiful ending to a great story. Plus the cutest and coolest dragons ever.
