Given the amount of shite Sharon get's put through despite everything she does to voluntarily y'know REPEATEDLY SAVE WHAT'S LEFT OF HUMANITY despite the fact she constantly locked in a cell under 24 hour watch and only allowed out shackled like a rabid dog with gun's pointed at her head. It's honestly astonishing that Lt Agathon never once punches anyone over it.

This episode is weird to me, along with the Black Market episode. I get why they did what they did, but... I dunno. The unfortunate effects of needing to write off characters is that awkward feeling I guess

So here is the question, Spoiler of the week... What have they done to prove the Human race is worthy of survival? Adama asked this question, I mean consider their circumstances and yet, the black market, petty differences. I always felt this was at the heart of the show. RIP Billy, can't believe the actor left this show to go do the remake of Knight Rider.

I'm not a fan of this or the previous two episodes (typical network meddling which forced them to make more "stand-alone" episodes) but the rest of the season is absolute fire so the worst is over! Although to be fair I don't think you notice much of the dip in quality on first-viewing but man are they a slog on repeat watches.

So, the thing that made it stick for me was something along these lines: It's nu-CLEAR and when you get it wrong, your meaning becomes un-CLEAR. -Something a guy in WoW said. I wish I had screenshotted it because it seemed to instantly rewire my brain.

It really is hard to find a scenario that would not be made worse by the the addition of Ellen Tigh. A Logan’s Run-style carousel is about as close as I can get. Much as I love Starbuck, they really need to stop tapping her for hostage rescue missions. It was only Lee’s intervention that stopped the one on the Astral Queen turning into bloodbath, and this one went sideways very rapidly. Though in fairness time was limited, she was the person on-site and able to respond quickly, and Ellen was a major contributing factor. Billy was definitely being kind of an ass in this one; the line about being there “on business - as usual” sounds like he hasn’t been making an effort to spend personal time with Dee, even after she had previously told him that she wasn’t happy about him not calling. Not that Lee isn’t being any fairer to her with his various hookups, cut short or not.

Chiming in again. You can see blatant nepotism creeping in at this point. Lt (j.g) Valaerii and Chief Petty Officer Tyrol were ORDERED to break up because she was a commissioned officer who was three ranks higher. But it's OK for Leland (no surprise he goes by Lee) and Dee who is SEVEN ranks above her.

Did everyone think of Boomer's body? Probably. The episode with Adama talking to her wasn't that long ago, and a bit of it was in the recap, so... Did I see Billy's death coming? Probably, but not until Dee got in his face about being stupid. And yes, Ellen Tigh is the WORST. You don't have to apologize for thinking so. The actress probably loves to hear it, because it means she did her job well.

Sharon, Lee and Dee are commissioned officers. The chief is a non-commissioned officer, an enlisted man.

I always look forward to your reactions of big moments and you didn't disappoint in this episode. Billy was "Coming out of his shell" more as the show progressed and it was nice to see. The rejection from Dee hit him hard as you saw so he definitely wanted to try and prove himself at the end.
