That was interesting turn of phrase you were wrestling with: toaster or skin job. I think "toaster" makes more sense for Cylons because "skin job" refers to something else. Speaking of which, when I search for "Blade Runner", I don't see a reaction. Maybe this could be a future couple of movie reactions?

It always felt to me that Starbuck’s insistence that Anders is probably dead didn’t stem from pessimism or a lack of faith. It was more that she found it easier to cope with the idea that he was gone than that he might be out there thinking that she had abandoned him, and possibly hating him for it. Or, to put it another way - she’s treating it as one more past failure rather than having every day be another failure to keep her promise.
