Been looking forward to this stretch of season 2. While the reporter episode was not your favorite it started an arc, hopelessness, then last episode was desperation with the blackbird, here you get relief then just WTF. The two opposing views of cylons which has been building with helos sharon, comes to clash, pure machines, with no feelings and no emotions, then the opposing view of the enemy but still people, forces you to pick a side.

IMO You should watch the extended version of every episode that HAS an extended version. There are a tidy few more...

I vividly remember the first time watching this, when Adama and Cain were going back and forth I glanced at the clock and thought "how are they gonna wrap this up in 2 minutes?" DOH!

Angela hasn't heard of Pegasus up to this point watching Galactica, congratulations you're doing well avoiding spoilers. Another episode with another fan favorite from the Scifi world, Michelle Forbes. Pegasus was like a kick in the stomach for fans at the time but there are much bigger surprises coming.

Tricia Helfer is such a good actress; she does the little things so well. She's great as Lucifer's mom in that series (Lucifer), and is also amazing as a voice actress as Kerrigan in Starcraft II and Mass Effect 2/3. Also, your face when the "To Be Continued" came up, that was hilarious.

Lot has already been said I endorse. I watched the old show with my parents as a child, then watched this series on DVD in a war zone. I identified hard with the moral questions this show raised. Rewatching has been great, but I had to dig up my old dvd's cause the "official" released version was massively frustrating tryin to watch with you, never realized the cuts and edits they did til now. But this is on Amazon a 3 parter, don't fully remember the dvd's but the Pegasus arc was even more impactful than the original where it was easy cause Cain was the never quit last man standing hot dog who was subordinate but best friends w/ Adama, which they melded into the Apollo v Starbuck story. But the r scene hit me on a visceral level cause I have several friends who suffered that so it is a flash button for me. Thought about warning, not happy I didn't, but mad respect for your professionalism. Chief & the NCO corps approve.

I agree that James Callis just killed it in this episode. His acting has been great all along but this was one of the high points.

"They are not human." A rose by any other name is still a rose. They have human bodies, human emotions, feel pain and joy, have different personalities, grow by having different experiences. They claim to have a soul and are religious. I would argue that many humans in the show are less "human" than some cylons. The show asked, "Are we worth of survival?". Lt. Thornton is a good example why the answer might be "No".

Thinking back to my original thoughts are often tricky, but let me see if I can run a few points down. Ensign Ro!! *happy dance* XO's drinking. "Oh, Frack me." Admiral Cain is in charge. "Clearly. As it should be. Gotta get that drama." New Cylon ship? Bigger than the Basestars? "Tell me more." Hey! That actor from that other show I really Love! "He's pretty stuffy and uptight in this role. Probably just more of the Admiral's bad leadership. Oh frack that character. I'm going to rewrite my brain so that is NOT the same actor from that show I love. I never want to see him do anything like that ever again." Tyrol and Helo arrested. "Well shit. Like the man said, "The Chain of Command is the chain I'm going to beat you with until you understand who is in rutting command." "When did it (the court-martial) start!" "Oh shit." "Launch the Alert Fighters." "Wow, this is really happening. Where is Starbuck?" To be continued... "Wait, what?! For how many months? F-U-C-K!!!" I think that about sums it up.

I'm so sad I don't have access to this extended version. I don't know what I'm missing and feel left out. :[ (Edit) The youtube reactions will do. I'm pretty sure my partner has the DVD sets at home and I can watch them there without the reactions. I never knew there were any extended cuts.
