Really enjoyed it and I appreciate as well the lack of jump scares Jump scares in a horror film is like a comedian tickling the audience, it might make them laugh (or jump) but that doesn’t make for a good comedy (horror) The build up and release of the pressure sold me on this one Really good horror and I appreciated a much better final monster compared to the last Evil Dead movie

So I’m curious if you have ever watched the Evil Dead movies with the commentary tracks. While I love the ones with Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, and Bruce Campbell, my favorite to this day is the one Campbell did solo for the Evil Dead: Book of the Dead edition. Campbell carries the entire thing with ease, relating story after story of production woes and all the insane nonsense they did to film the first movie. Even if you have seen all the movies, it’s worth rewatching the original 3 to listen to the commentary. I would watch it with you for sure.
