Just joined the group since you are starting Battlestar Galactica. Many twists and turns to come. It is a great journey that you should love. I know you don't like the Colonel too much right now, but hopefully he'll become an interesting character for you as the story develops.

I don't know if been talked about yet, but one of the reasons they included older model Vipers from the "1st Cylon War" was to keep a connection to the original series (1978), along with their launch catapults. The specification drawing of a Cylon that the Armistice Officer was reviewing, along with the Cylon exhibit in the Galactica Museum, are also from the original series. Doesn't mean this is a sequel, they just using the 1978 Cylons as the original models that rose up against their human creators in this new series.
