Brian Jones

I'm checked out of Marvel at this point. Guardians 3 was the last thing I cared about in the slightest, and that was due to Gunn finishing his trilogy. The last of the old guard (and quality for that matter). Disney, through Pixar (since they fired Lasseter out of sheer stupidity), Marvel, Lucasfilm, and Disney live action and animation, have repeatedly shown that their political/identity politics driven agenda takes precedent over telling a good story and entertaining audiences, and it's felt across the board in all of their content. In the specific case of Marvel, the talent was pretty much gone after Endgame. The loss of the Russo Brothers and writers such as Markus and McFeely have devastated the franchise and it can clearly be seen in the rapidly declining box office of the films as well as the slim to none viewership of their streaming shows. Currently Disney stands to lose well over a billion dollars at the box office this year just between Little Mermaid, Antman, and Elemental. Could you imagine being the guy who has to explain to your stockholders that you own some of the most valuable IP in all of Hollywood history, but are incapable of turning a profit on it? But it's not like people haven't been warning about this for years.

Nathanael Fuller (Polygon Wizard)

I enjoyed this episode while watching it, but I don't think it is going to stick with me. Most of the details are fading away even immediately after finishing the episode. The ending of the episode felt like "hey we've got to kill someone off to be shocking, so let's lazily shoot somebody" to me. Didn't stop me from loudly booing at the screen. I would've been booing it regardless, but the half-ass way it was done made me boo louder. They didn't earn that moment, IMO. If they later walk it back with some dumb storytelling like you described in your mini-rant it will just make it even worse.

Im done with Marvel for the forseable future. i have zero interest in this show once i found out Feige told the creeatives to not read the comic series. First ep has bad reviews from sources I trust, Not sure why reactors are still watching this crap

funnylilgalreacts

I’m watching it because I am excited for the Marvels and I’m sure that this is important to that movie.

Jack Burton

same. so burnt out now. it wa good while it lasted but after End Game I was through. hopefully there aren't many episodes and we can get better tv shows in here.

My favorite MCU political thriller was Cap's Winter Soldier. I was hoping this was more in the spirit of that. I don't understand all the hate towards Marvel movies now, there is no way they can keep the quality up through out EVERY single thing the put out, but that seems to be the expectation. I just think you have to take the good with the bad, and honestly it really hasn't been that bad, especially compared to the DCEU and WB shows... I'm just saying... sure you can be disappointed, but why hate?

funnylilgalreacts

I get the burn out. People get tired. But I don’t get people being angry or hating on some thing. I can hate some thing they did or very much disagree with how some thing was written, but I’m just grateful that they’re making stuff that I care about.

Anonymous

I agree. I thought it was an intriguing first episode and I’m sticking around to watch.

I’m grateful too that things I enjoy continue to get made. One thing I’ve learned from you over the past few months is embrace what you love. So thank you for that.

Count Monte-Cristo

Secret Invasion episode 6, same people: I don't care about Marvel anymore. Loki season 2, same people: I don't care about Marvel anymore. Echo, same people: I don't care about Marvel anymore. So, fuck off and go watch whatever you care about.

Is it possible that through a single episode, Gravik already feels like one of the most truly menacing villains the MCU has had?!? Not a megalomaniac, a true extremist, exceedingly cunning, absolutely brutal in violence... I am digging this show so far.

Erik Stevenson

I liked the episode and am glad you're reacting to the show!

Whovian Prakash

I have great hopes resting on this show, and I suspect it will tie in with The Marvels. And I am gaga for The Marvels as I like all three lead characters. I don't care about the gender swap situation. I am totally fine with it. And I don't care what MCU haters or Brie Larson haters have to say about it.

SummitSummit

Not so far. I watched it by myself last night. Then watched it again just now with Angela, and I hadn't even picked up on his name. He could end up being another one of the many nameless MCU villains if he doesn't get some good writing soon.

SummitSummit

I'm not paranoid everyone is a Skrull. But since you mentioned Carol Danvers maybe coming to the show, I'm paranoid that if she does, she will die. I'm worried about Rambeau too. And Pepper. Any other woman still alive in the MCU? If so, I'm worried for them.

Ray (Fanporium)

It's lovely to see Emelia Clarke on my screen, but half of the episode was so dark (physically) that I couldn't see what was happening.

Myoclonic Jerk

Hi! I'm all butthurt that Marvel isn't doing exactly what I would have done, so I'm going to go onto completely the wrong place to complain and complain. That'll show 'em! (Then I'm going to watch the content anyway and do the same thing next time there's a release.)

warcrimes

Y'all mad about people having opinions that differ from yours and it's sadly hilarious

Myoclonic Jerk

I just like takin' the piss outta whiners. So dig deeper, it's hilariously hilarious.

Myoclonic Jerk

Look, another one! Go cry, emo kid. All joking aside, though, when you come in here and insult Angela's choice of content, you are insulting Angela. Would you go to a dinner party and insult the meal directly to the hostess's face? Maybe you would, since you're too oblivious to even understand common courtesy. In my opinion, a little mockery is the least you deserve. I didn't like Ted Lasso. Know what I said in the comments about it? Nothing. Because I know how to be polite to the hostess, and I don't think I know better than her how to program her channel. OK, you're now free to fail to justify how it's not an insult to Angela to insult her choice of content.

warcrimes

It's called feedback. I never insulted her. White Knight harder though, simp.

Myoclonic Jerk

First: "You select crap" is most definitely an insult. I don't expect a C-student like you to get that, but it's true. Second: "Simp"?! BWAHAHAHA! I thought your user name was SDE, but this takes the cake! Are you going to call me "woke" next?
