I enjoyed the hell out of this episode. It just left you feeling good. Museumnacht sounds perfect. Always listen to Trent. Saw my first Van Gogh in Chicago at the Art Institute about 8 years ago, they were amazing. Saw the traveling Beyond Van Gogh Immersive Experience in St Louis 2 Decembers ago. My brother would love ato go with Higgins & Will to hear Jazz. Trent and Colin talking was wonderful to hear. Trent’s a good man. That boat must have been a Tardis, it was way bigger on the inside. Jamie and Roy are best friends. Love the reference to Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid with Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head during a bicycle riding scene. My brother can’t ride a bike. Nate’s brief appearance in a cowboy outfit was unexpected and funny. Will getting invited to a 3 way, ha ha. He probably didn’t but appreciated being asked. And of course Piggy Stardust BAYBEE! End credit: God as Herself Your 3 Birds tattoo is awesome. Good friends indeed 🧡

Hey you finally got your pillow fight! :)

Easily one of my top 3 episodes of the series, so glad you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Nathanael Fuller (Polygon Wizard)

This episode was so much fun! I need to re-watch it to catch all the little details that I missed the first time around. Ted Lasso episodes are usually stuffed with a ton of small details, but I feel like this one had just a bit extra. So many great moments in this episode that it's hard to pick a favorite one. Jamie teaching Roy to ride a bike was hilarious. The team arguing so much they end up going nowhere but still have an epic pillow fight was awesome. Colin and Trent hanging out was unexpected yet great. Higgins getting to play bass was so much fun. Rebecca spending an evening with a charming stranger was great. Ted's "triangle trip" was fun. Beard showing up at the end as Piggy Stardust was amazing. There is a lot to love about this episode. Easily my favorite of this season so far.

Terry Yelmene

This historically extraordinary series of superbly written episode after episode holds almost no space for any episode to be special, to distinguish itself within the Ted Lasso series. IMHO, last season's 'No Weddings and a Funeral' must be considered so distinguished, as one of the greatest episodes of comedic television ever written. For any series to have one episode of that caliber is rare. Now, in what has been recognized in Ted Lasso's final Season, we've just experienced 'Sunflowers.' And I, in my most loquacious manner, was fully prepared to make a broad list of claims about how 'perfect this 'perfect' Dutch rejuvenation was. But to innumerate any of these arguments... after the reaction shared here... would all fall short. The truth of how incredible 'Sunflowers' is, resides in the perfect glow of Angels's smile through 90% of this amazing episode. Nothing more needs to be said. Thank You funnylilgal, for the 'perfect' reaction. (Just know Angela that as this amazing season gets to the final 4-5 episodes, the writers somehow hit another higher top gear. What else would you expect? After all, it's 'Ted Lasso!")

@Rod Michel - I thought maybe, Angela would have seen Butch and Sundance (Newman/Redford) and got that bike reference, and recall "Raindrops" from Burt Bacharach. (predates her)

It’s such a good movie. Newman and Redford make a great buddy crime duo

Glad you enjoyed Sunflowers, and your enjoyment made it more enjoyable for me. Rebecca finally experiences the "upside down and wet" prophecy. And the BBQ sauce was Arthur Bryant which is Ted's favorite, the same one in the gift package with the toy soldiers and is his desktop background on Skype calls. I loved Nate's moment with Jade. She's such an enigma, so it was intriguing to see how she was finally drawn subtly to him. But it was also Nate being pure and vulnerable (by choice) for the first time around her.

As a gay guy, even one that’s been out for 20+ years, those Colin/Trent scenes had me bawling crying, especially Colin’s monologue on the canal. I literally was ugly crying so much I had to stop the episode to recover because I can guarantee nearly every LGBT person of a certain age is or remembers going through exactly that phase and it brought back so much pain and so many memories of that…but also the relief of being able to say it out loud to someone else and not feel alone. It was done so damn well on the show. Plus that it wasn’t setup as a hookup/romantic gay storyline and just of two “fellow travelers” who could relate and just discover a platonic friendship instead of how so many shows portray sexual thing triggering it. The whole episode was amazing and is probably my favorite (we’ll see after the finale tonight) but the colin storyline hit me right in the heart and had me crying for like 30 minutes

As a 60yo lesbian I had the same reaction, the suffering a life lived separate from the world cuts you in thousands of different ways so deeply in a closet not made by yourself.

It was really cool that they paid homage to Amsterdam in this episode. Brendan Hunt lived there for a while and it's where he fell in love with soccer. We probably would not have this incredible show were it not for his time in Amsterdam. Also, I didn't catch it when I watched this episode the first time but during your reaction I noticed that the boss of the waiters at the American burger joint is named Derek which also happens to be the name of the manager at a Taste of Athens. That's can't be a coincidence can it?

How can you not love this show? This has to be a nearly perfect episode. I do have Rebcca standing on a bike path looking at a barge as last shot of the show on my Bingo card tho. SO here is hoping.

I was in Amsterdam a few months ago. The museums are incredible, the boat tours of the canals wonderful, and there are a truly overwhelming number of bikes. I haven't seen the finale yet, but this is my favorite episode of the whole show, by far.

Let me know when you're close to it. I can recommend some spots. There's a wonderfully funky little indian/chinese fusion restaurant I'll have to look through my google reviews to find.

I’ll be there in a couple weeks. I’m definitely doing the van Gogh museum, the kitten cabinet, horticultural garden and canal tour the first day I’m there.

I think the second day I’m there I’ll just kind of wing it a little bit maybe travel around on the trains and buses and just live in the city a little bit. Most likely catch a bike and ride around as well.

Depending on how long you'll be there, I'd also suggest the Rijksmuseum. And the restaurant I was thinking of is called Sama Sebo, and it's an Indonesian place. Pretty close to the museum. So good.
