“I’m the person who wants all of this. Tell me all of your stories. Give me all of your feelings.” So just remember, you asked for it. First of all, Angela, you should know that if you have even a fraction of the empathy and understanding in the real world as you show in these reactions, you’re doing just fine. In fact, my bet is that you are so sensitive to others’ pains that it’s hard to block it out sometimes. My bet is that it actually hurts. If that’s true, I’m sorry. It ain’t fun. For me (deep breath), It’s a bunch of things. It’s trying to be a better father like Ola, trying to not to be so angry like Roy, trying to lead like Ted and trying to find joy like Keeley and Dani. But mostly it’s about trying to understand (like all of them) that we all fall short. That’s not important. What’s important is that, after we fall, we get back up. I’ve worked in media/news and politics since I was in high school and I’ve always been the “Roy Kent” enforcer. I was one of two senior staff in a mayor’s office for several years and they used to refer to us as “the carrot and the stick.” I was the stick. That was the case then and that’s the case now…except now I’m starting to change that a little. You see, this show never asked anyone to be a different person. It just showed that you have a choice. You don’t have to be stuck in the same old patterns (good or bad). And I’ve started to take that to heart. Actually, a lot of people have. How has this show changed me? Well, I’ve spent my life and career fighting back. Now I’m fighting forward. At least I’m trying to…and that ain’t nothing.

The finale made me ugly cry. You've been warned.

A particularly good callback this episode was from Roy telling Nate in season 1, "Don't read it, say it to my face". He remembers to do that half way through his letter to Keeley.

That was Rani Dojas you just witnessed. Most likely trained by Led Tasso from season 2

The Restoration of Richmond Concerto by Nathen Shelley ~ serenading 'fixing ourselves' storylines. ~ Fixing Rebecca Welton - Who Was Able to Safeguard the Spirit of Her Sport Because She's Finally Over Rupert ~ Fixing Roy Kent - Who Accepted His Own Self-Worthiness ~ Aiding Danny Rojas - To Find His Nationalistic Competitiveness ~ Bettering Keeley Jones - Who Realized the Lighting of the Perseverance Within HER ~ Deepening Sam Obisanya - As the Embodiment of Wisdom, Humility and Grace ~ And Actually Restoring 'Nate' To Be As 'Great' As He Always Should Have Been, With His Father's Love and Encouragement. Nate, Rebecca, Roy, Keeley, Sam, Danny... They all came to their own positive, better, more true 'Ted Lasso' place... and we here in Richmond who share this 'place,' are all the better for it! Since the moment Nate's resentment for Ted began in Season 2, Angela's humanity and personal character has shown through in every push back of his unacceptable behavior. Somehow, she remained forgiving...NOT giving up on 'HER FRIEND' from Season 1. I think that was unique among TL reactors and the communities that follow them. So Angela, please do not fully credit this heart-filled series with providing that empathy. You've proven how special yours was all along. As for me... I stand in awe. I've been given a gift of clever warmth and charming goodwill that I couldn't have imagined before this miraculous series. For me, Ted Lasso has been a gift beyond measure. (BTW, Nick Mohammed's violin was accompanied by his wife on piano)

I can’t wait for you to see the finale!!!

As a fan of the Scream movies and the Peaky Blinders show and their use of the song Red Right Hand by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, I instantly recognized the song from the first couple of notes when Roy starts walking into the office before we even know he is wearing the tie dye shirt. So now I now have three things that I love that have used that song in fun ways! On a superficial level, I've actually shouted "Oi!" a few times since I started watching this show. That's kind of a change. On a less superficial level, Ted Lasso has been a potent reminder that treating people with respect, empathy, and kindness is very important. You never know what kind of impact you might have on someone, sometimes without even knowing it. Even a small act of kindness can mean the world to someone else. It never hurts to be reminded of that fact now and again. Can't wait to watch the final two episodes with you!

The squatty potty rules. Have one at home and bought one for myself and my co-workers at the office. Everyone loves it. I have a special place in my heart for the piece of music Nate played, Spiegel im Spiegel. I heard it first on the Soundtrack to the movie About Time. I and my former bonded over it early in our relationship. So many good songs from that album. Loved the Nick Cave Red Right Hand playing when Roy was walking in wearing the ROY shirt. Nick had a song on the About Time album too called Into My Arms. This show brings up so many memories, connections upon connections. Time moves so quickly. People move in and out of your life, but you continue moving forward. How has this show changed me? I’ve always been someone who tries to help and to be of service. I try to be empathetic but I’m even more conscious of it now. You never know what someone is going through. Hopefully I’m learning to be less judgmental because of this show. It also taught me to let go and the value of forgiveness of others and myself, the latter harder than the former. Ted Lasso is good medicine. It makes you feel, it makes you think, and of course the laughter. Be good to one another. Life is short. I can’t think of a finer way to spend a life than moving towards the better. "Remember, remember, this is now, and now, and now. Live it, feel it, cling to it. I want to become acutely aware of all I've taken for granted." -Sylvia Plath

I would talk about how that Nathan and Dad scene made me feel, but I'm pretty sure I need at least another few therapy sessions

My theory is Barbara is on the spectrum (i.e. a highly-functioning autism)
