I genuinely don’t know how to apply “favorite” to….well, pretty much anything. Might be a limitation on my part, it’s I’ve come to think it’s not just a judgement I can honestly apply. A deeper delving would be more a conversation and less a commenting post on a video ( :D ) so, I’ll say this: there are several moments in this episode for which I have a fondness; one of them is Jayne’s comment when playing horseshoes. “My pop always said ‘anyone who can’t find work ain’t looking hard enough’”. I have a memory there there have been hints as to Jayne’s work ethic before now (although I can’t recall a specific), but this is certainly the most explicit. As you said, Jayne’s not a great person. But (also as you said), he’s a hard worker, and I like that the fact of it was brought to our attention, and a couple of different ways so that maybe it sinks in a bit better.

I always thought that Mal was going to kill Jayne and he only changed his mind when Jayne asked him make up a story and not tell the crew what he did. To me that was a great character moment for him. He realized that he did not want to die with the crew's opinion of him being that of someone who stabbed his crew in the back.

Love that "ImMa DoCtOr" reaction after the encounter with the obnoxious doc. As the son of a nurse who knows works as a lab tech, it's a feeling I know all too well. Especially any time doctors call into the lab.
