FULL LENGTH REACTION

I don't think ANYONE thought they'd ever love Jamie, and now everyone does 😂 Credit to both the writing and the acting that they're able to sell his multitudes so well. Jamie's one of the best cases to illustrate how great this show is on rewatch, as a lot of the things he says/does and how he reacts are heartbreaking in context (not an excuse for how he behaved, of course). Really speaks to the strength of who the real Jamie is that he still has such a capacity for kindness and connection in him. This season definitely takes on a different tone from season 1 so it's fairly polarizing among viewers, but I personally like it better overall. There are some really phenomenal episodes heading your way!

I love when everyone in the locker room is yelling at Jamie Tartt, someone just yells, "I don't know you, but I don't like you!" I almost spit out my drink.

I think a lot of people expected a comedy instead of some thing that was very true to real life, which is people, experience, traumas and her chips in pain, and sometimes they don’t deal with it, and that shows. I actually love the aspect of it being more focused on mental health, and expressing yourself. But damn, I did not think that I would ever like Jamie Tart and now he’s one of my favorite characters. So brilliantly acted, wonderfully written. And the relationship that Phil and Brett have is just beautiful.

Watching your Ted Lasso reactions as I watch the episodes for the first time continues to be one of the highlights of my week. I'm pretty sure when I re-watch the show from the beginning in the future it will feel like something is missing without hearing your laughter and commentary at the same time. I agree with your assessment. This season definitely seems to have adjusted the jokes to heart ratio a little bit in comparison to how the first season started, but I like that. Looking forward to seeing where the rest of the season goes from here.

This continues to be one of my favorite episodes. It was great to see Jamie finally start figuring out how to be a good teammate. Rebecca and Nora were fun together. And of course, Roy & Phoebe were just adorable :) As much fun as these three episodes and your reactions were, I cannot WAIT for the next set. Episodes 2x04-2x06 are SUCH a hoot :)

“I’m glad Jamie Tartt is back, and I miss Roy Kent.” Yes! You’re getting there. A heart that hurts, is a heart that works, baby! (In the best Coach Beard impression saying ”baby”) Nate is on a journey. Yes, I’m a proponent of Therapy too. I’ve known people who didn’t get help and went on to the next relationship only to watch it fail because they never worked out their trauma. I truly hope Shrinking is in your future, either for the channel or your own enjoyment. Especially since you like Bill Lawrence produced shows. I’m glad each season is somewhat different. I love how the comedy gives way to the drama and heart. I always ask, “Did it make me feel? Then it was worth my time.” Whatever that emotion is: joy sadness, fear, anger; bring on all the feels.

Yeah, Ted Lasso was emulating Herb Brooks with Led Tasso, I love that call-back/reference to Miracle on Ice. This stretch of episodes really eased us into the vibes of S2 well, coming off S1. They've fallen into relegation, and there's plenty of fallout and unfinished business from S1 that needs to be worked through, so definitely more heart. Really looking forward to seeing the rest of the season. I didn't think the show could top season 1, but season 2 really hit its marks in a way that was immediate as well as rewarded repeat viewings

The Inedible Mattman!

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet or not, but a really cool behind the scenes thing about the show ... apparently those biscuits that Ted makes are absolutely disgusting. The props department made them not thinking about whether or not someone would have to actually eat them, and as such they are suuuuuuper terrible. Everytime you see Rebecca eat them, the actress hates them lol

I loved how terrible Led Tasso was, and also how easily everyone saw through it. And at the same time, it was entirely effective. Took all the attention off of Jaime (who is becoming a genuinely better guy, maybe?). The humanization of Rebecca gets overlooked a lot in this episode. This is, in my opinion, the episode where she remembers that she's not just a rich woman in charge of shit. She's also a rich woman. In charge. And a bad ass bitch. And a human that is swayed by a 14 year old because she cares. And any time Sassy gets involved, it's good. BTW, same on the Brendan Frasier ep of Scrubs

To have been a fly on the wall during Jamie's session with Dr Sharon! He went from "buying everyone PS5s" to simply trying to be a majorly supportive teammate after that. Sharon is clearly good at her stuff.

I have to fall in line with the others who suggested this: If you love 'Ted Lasso', you will love 'Shrinking'. No matter if your watching it for yourself or the channel, just do it. 😊
