I love this show! In the middle of lockdown it was like a lovely foot massage. What got me hooked were the mature adult relationships, the emphasis on personal accountability and the refreshing lack of artificial drama caused by people not communicating. It has changed up gotten more depth as it has gone on.

Shrinkage is the second show I watched through during the Severance rewatch. Christa Miller somewhat reviving her Scrubs (Jordan) and Cougar Town (Ellie) characters definitely helped my enjoyment. I'm not as enthused by it as I am by Ted Lasso, but for anyone who got the subscription already and some extra spare time, it's some nice bonus laughter to be had. Foundation I still have to see, only ever read the first book like 20 years ago, definitely memorable, hard to imagine to be easily translatable to TV, but will give it a shot anyways, if this community is doing it.

"lack of artificial drama caused by people not communicating." -> I absolutely second this one as to why I like this show. It's one of the best ways this show subverts your expectations, because we've all seen very stupid (drama convenient) miscommunications cause mayhem too many times. The news article getting published could've been such a cliche and instead we are getting such an unexpected bonding moment between Rebecca and Keeley.

Everything you said in your intro, about Scrubs and Bill Lawrence (I love Spin City, also), is how I feel, to the letter. I'm a fairly new follower/subscriber, but I appreciate your insight, even in the long intros. I've watched seasons 1 & 2 many times over, so I'm a huge fan of the show. It's a bit of a comfort show for me. I'm so thrilled I get to "share" this first-time experience through your eyes, it's like watching it all over again. And I love it.

I love that you're watching this show! They do a great job showing the differences between American sports and English football. I'm a soccer fan, but you don't have to be one to understand this show. The English football league, the Premier League, is the most popular one in the world so it's understandable that fans are shocked that Ted is their manager.

It's such a great show, I agree. The character arcs are incredible and there are some classic, Bill Lawrence, turn-on-a-dime tonal shifts that will emotionally wreck you! So there is that warm-hearted warning😊.
