FULL LENGTH REACTION

Purrgils in hyperspace are now my happy place, pirates! So hopefully Hondo Ohnaka isn’t far from an appearance, though I suspect more likely in the Ahsoka series, anzellan’s and bad baby situation was pretty funny…good start to the season, bring on Mandalore

OldGeekScott

When Grogu saw the purrgil, was hoping we get his first word…via a king shark like “friends”, lol

OldGeekScott

Us and the purrgil, lol

OldGeekScott

By the way, if you like the New Rockstars breakdowns, checkout their longer version on their new deep dive channel, Eric Voss did Mando S3E1 this morning, very well done

I'm pretty "meh" about The Mandalorian at this point, to be honest. It felt like Mando spent most of the episode telling people what he was going to be doing in the NEXT episode. And I know I'm in the minority on this, but I still think the writers chickened out by bringing Grogu back so quickly(and I'm pissed that they spent an episode and a half of Boba Fett's short season doing it). Hopefully they'll make him actually relevant to the plot, because right now it just feels like he's around to look cute and sell toys.

This episode brought me back to a HUGE unanswered question from the first episode of the series: Who hired IG-11??? I know many assumed that the Empire also hired him like they did our guy…but IG-11 was hired to kill Grogu. The Empire wanted him dead or alive, but preferably alive. That makes me think that there’s someone else interested in Grogu…and may still wish him harm. Also, I need a Lofi girl in that hood of the Naboo Starfighter in warp, doing her thing with the Purgill warping along in the background. Just putting that out there to manifest.

I'm just gonna enjoy your reactions and this show w/ very few comments to boost your followers hip. Mostly cause Star Wars fans, trekkies, and marvel fans can be vicious, and why I prefer being a critter. But your reactions to BoBF & Obi-Wan was really enjoyable and lookin fwd to your reactions to this.

Justin Kim

Hey, look! It's vegetarian Pizza the Hutt.

Philip Doherty

This reaction was a particular delight! So nice to see someone love SW so much, and to be able to share this with everyone here!

Damien

I'm the same! I was watching Grogu and thinking what's the point of him being back? There doesn't seem to be a plot/reason for him anymore. I guess we'll see.

funnylilgalreacts

I really think the reason why they brought him back is because they want to have a Mandalorian Jedi. Or at least a force sensitive Mandalorian. I think it’s OK for now unless it’s just shenanigans in the future. Then I’ll take issue with it.

Nathaniel Castle

Part of me hopes he goes back for the body of Q9-0 and so we get the voice of Richard Ayoyade It would make an interesting issue as well as Q9-0 nearly killed Grogu

It’s amazing how effectively Pedro Pascal has cornered the market in “gruff yet gooey-centred dad(dy)” roles. Definitely feels like they are going for a tradition versus pragmatism theme. As far as guest stars go, it’s a shame the timeline doesn’t work for a Poe Dameron appearance, because Oscar and Pedro are adorable together. On the other hand, an expedition to the ruins of Mandalore could be a *perfect* opportunity to bring Dr Aphra into live action.

Damien

Hasn't it been mentioned that there are, have been, Mandalorian Jedi already? My Starwars lore and show memories are lacking :) Now that I think about it, are there non-human Mandolorians?

Dan Pettit

Since when has Star Wars used the terms 'belters' and 'target lock'? Sounds vaguely familiar from somewhere though.

funnylilgalreacts

There has been, Tarre Vizsla! I think they’re trying to bring that back because it was so long ago and it may be a way uniting all the Mandalorians.

OldGeekScott

Not up on current Dr Aphra run, is it known whether she is alive at this time?

Dan Pettit

Really? I hadn't heard it in that context, but then I'm not that well versed.

Moricant

They haven’t given her a canon death AFAIK and in terms of age I think she’s a few years older than Luke and Leia, so it’s plausible that she would be active at this point.

SummitSummit

You seemed a bit distracted in this one so I guess it's understandable that you didn't react when Apollo Creed said, "...the Belters are mining the asteroids..." Something I noticed and thought was great, from the art at the end, the "Crocodile" was clearly a snapping turtle. I appreciated the change for the show though, that "croc-roll" was Awesome to see.
