The Sun Tree moment at the end of the previous episode is one of many iconic moments from the campaign that I was looking forward to seeing how they pulled it off in animated form. Just like in the campaign, it is a dark, shocking moment where the stakes suddenly feel more real. It is one of the big moments from this show that I look forward to seeing how people who have no idea it is coming react to it. Without spoiling anything, let's just say there are several more iconic moments from this season that I'm looking forward to seeing you get to. The ride is far from over! To echo what others have said, the Vox Machina opening titles are perfectly fine to watch. For the most part it is just a fancy sequence to showcase the characters and bringing them together. There are a few references here and there to things like the credits sequence for their livestreams back in the day and a few easter eggs for those familiar with the campaign. But there really isn't anything that will spoil someone who is unfamiliar with the story. I think it is funny that you immediately liked Archie. I had a similar reaction but for a much different reason. Before the first season came out they released several behind the scenes promos, and the last one called "The Legend of the Cast of The Legend of Vox Machina" revealed the voice cast they had gotten for the show. When Dominic Monaghan was revealed, I was like "they got a hobbit for this!? Yes!!" Not to mention my excitement over all the other big names they got for the show like David Tennant (Krieg), Indira Varma (Lady Allura), Stephanie Beatriz (Lady Kima), Rory McCann (The Duke from this episode), Khary Payton (Uriel), Grey Griffin (Delilah)...and a couple of other cool people for characters you've seen but not heard yet. I was definitely excited for this show leading up to it, but when they revealed the voice cast just before the season came out, my excitement shot through the roof. Hearing them in the actual show just proved what a great cast they gathered for this show beyond the core group of very talented people. Once you've finished the first season, it might be fun for you to watch all six "The Legend of..." promos. They released one every few months for the year leading up to the first season coming out. Each one is about 10-12 minutes long. In order, they cover the Story, World, Design, Voices (main CR cast), Music, and Cast (other than main CR cast), featuring several of the animators, designers, writers, and other artists that worked on the show. I can't speak for everyone, but I would definitely enjoy watching you react to them.
