I’ve been so excited for you to get to some of these scenes!!

Joshua Johnson

I can’t wait to see your reaction to the next episode!!! It’s a good one!

Deana DeWall

The scene where Bobbie sees the ocean for the first time is still one of my favorites in the series. All those emotions washing over her face and the music were just perfect. Also love every scene with Cotyar and Avasarala.

Saheed Bello

Your connection to Amos is getting scary.

It was a such a slow and tender moment. The way they filmed it, I could feel the sun on her face. Magic.

Distilled water in the Ganymede system is bad because it's a hydroponic system. That is: it is all grown with only the water, and no soil. So, all the nutrients and other things the plants need to survive must also be in the water, or they die. Presumably, your own plants have soil, so you're fine using distilled water for them. 🙂 In fact, it's good, to make sure there isn't stuff like chlorine in it, like there often is in tap water.

I think the lasagna is meant to show how holden has changed. He doesn't try to negotiate with the lasagna now, he holds back naomi so amos can do his thing. Holden is a lot more comfortable with violence, and willing to go to further lengths to stop the protomolecule.

The way the show builds up to that scene is the kind of thing that makes Expanse special. Stuff doesn't just happen, it unfolds over time. And when the pay-off comes, they deserve it.

Bobby cascaded down the side of the building lol

God, Frankie Adams’ reaction to the ocean was sublime as she just stared in awe and wonder.

I think Bobbie actually found the East River. It's tidal there, and some combination of haze and sea level rise made Brooklyn and Queens invisible, which makes the experience ocean-like. If only she could have caught a train to Coney Island, but who knows what that'd be like in this era?

Even a polluted ocean and beach is like Tahiti to a Martian. There was a lot of crap floating out there and when I think of a world population of 30 billion, I'm curious about how effective their waste removal is. I guess they can shoot it into the sun in the future, if it's affordable, lol.

Dennis Tomsen

Meatless lasagna because Alex still hasn't put his foot in it 😁

I would hope with that level of tech they would have figured out an effective 100%, or 99.9% recycling process. If they just throw everything away in the sun they will soon run out of stuff to replace it with.

AC10

Lol. Soil. Another Earthers thing we take for granted? Seriously though, a little plant food now and then doesn't hurt. Eventually over enough time the soil gets used up and runs low on minerals and stuff. We have slow release plant food things that last for months or a year you could add if looks as if it's missing a little pep one day. But yes they are a little short on soil availability so water food it is for them.

Very ninja like she is... Very graceful for a Martian.

One of the very cool elements in the books is the focus on recycling EVERYTHING! (out in the Belt I mean). Food, cups, bowls, clothing on and on (and yes, people!) . I really liked those touches of what real space travel and living would be like in the 23rd century.

Broken bones was my first thought too. But after seeing what an auto-doc can do with someone sitting in a chair with just their arm in a tube.... and talks about gel that can regrow severed limbs... I have stopped questioning their medical technology limits.
