Thank you for doing these! I've enjoyed it so far...and believe me, the best is yet to come. Trivia for this episode...in the Cain and Abel scene, it featured an important comic character that had their own book starting in the 1950's, and it was....Cain's House. In 1950, the first issue of "The House of Mystery" premiered as a comic anthology that featured first horror stories, then fantasy, and later horror again. Inside the comic, Cain was eventually introduced in issue #175, and later so was Abel, Gregory, and Abel's house, the House of Secrets. They acted as hosts and storytellers, much like the Cryptkeeper from the 1990's HBO series "Tales from the Crypt", which also was a similar Anthology comics. Neil brought these characters from the DC archives because they told stories...and after all, aren't dreams just stories? I can't wait for Episode 3!

This series is so good, I immediately bought the book compendiums. Neil Gaimann may not have the rights to a lot of DC characters, but this adaptation is remarkably close to the source material. Some scenes are line for line. I was raised religious (but joined patreon at first for the many Atheist podcasts I listen to. You want to know something about a religion? Ask someone who deconverted). Cain and Abel were the sons of Adam and Eve. Cain was jealous of the offering that Abel gave to God one day, so he became the first murderer. He was evicted from Eden and sent east to "the land of Nod". Gaimann really likes playing with religious iconography. In lots of pop culture stuff, Cain is cursed to wander the earth forever, and often when both Cain and Abel are present in the same work, Cain will repeatedly kill Abel. This show contains one of the best episodes of television I've ever seen, and I can't wait for you to get to it.

Thank you for that rundown! I felt a little silly because I knew Cainand Abel but I didn't know them at the same time. Theres a lot of talk about a future episode, just that it's exciting and I can't wait to get to it!
