30 years between that trial and the new containment building being completed... Almost 25 years before even starting construction. I read what all the holdups were, and I read more lies between those lines than truths, so... How many more were contaminated in that meantime...? 😢 and 🤬 wtaf

I've seen this series multiple times. I couldn't watch episodes 3 and 4 this time. I don't think I could ever watch those again. But I wanted to return to this one because it's not satisfying, but it does bring understanding. I remember the first episode when Legasov was saying Dyatlov didn't deserve prison. He deserves death. Totally agree. Even not knowing the result of the AZ5 fail-safe, he still had to know that the strain on the reactor was way too far. He repeatedly ignored their own protocols because of ambition. It's terrible that it took Legasov's suicide to finally get public attention and needed change to the other reactors. Rarely do I consider that a heroic act, but it turns out it was in the end.
