Midsommar !!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️

Daniel Popp

Lord I hope John Carpenters The Thing wins. It'll prepare you for other classics like Event Horizon

Raymond Taylor

Can't go wrong with Kurt Russel ;)

Zar

The Thing is my favorite horror film ever and I'm happy to see it doing so well here.

QuigonJim25

'The Thing' is essential viewing!

FOOLPROOF

If you're looking for an 80's classic... The Monster Squad is the BEST!!

Patrick Waldeck

For some reason I thought she had seen The Thing. Best horror movie of all time in my opinion. Utterly brutal and insanely creative.

Molto_Benny

The Thing is top tier. Event Horizon is also a classic, and it's my number 2 on this list. But I much prefer the overall story and concept of The Thing.

George

Must vote for The Thing, although Event Horizon is quite bonkers and has some space shit.

funnylilgalreacts

I know I was in the room as a kid when my dad watched it, but I was like 5 or 6. I think 80's horror was SOMETHING

Syre2xE

I understand it freaked me out also but that tells u it’s going to be good trust me 🤞🏾❤️

Jaime Unson

Some nice choices but John Carpenter’s The Thing is just 👌🏻.

DownrightSuperb

Not the 2011 The Thing, please. 1982's The thing. And not The Thing From Another World either.

Daniel Popp

Oh I loved those days of sneaking around, trying to watch movies I wasn't supposed to. Of course, I was like 8 or 9 when my dad said it was OK for me to start seeing films like Gladiator and Predator. I'm sure the psychological scars are minimal, lol!

james conklin

The Mist is messed up but Event Horizon is awesome too.

aidan

Dead Silence. Made by the same guys who made Saw 👍

David Vandervliet

Not the biggest Horror fan, but if I had to go with one, I pick Event Horizon cause SPACE SHIT

Patrick Waldeck

My dad let me see it when I was WAAAAAAY too young, and let me tell you it that film sticks with you for life. It terrified me but also made me fall in love with horror.

Sone

The Thing is a classic can't go wrong with it . Event Horizon or Sunshine is great as well plus it's also.... well space shit .

Nerd Jared

So many good choices!

Bernhard

I believe not enough people have seen The Descent. It’s one of my all-time favorite horror movies.

Chuck Eberhart

I saw The Thing when I was 5, scared me for life. I hope it wins the poll!

matt

Aw, this one's easy!

Brian Vandenbroek

You should also really consider Phantasm, Hellraiser, Near Dark, American Werewolf in London, The Howling, and I really think you'd like Ginger Snaps.

Esteban M.

The Thing is one of my all time favorite movies. The greatest horror film ever made, pacing/story/effects/atmosphere/tension/characters/music/etc. it holds up better than anything else on that list in almost every way. I hope it wins and all of you who have not seen it all upgrade to the Full Length Reaction tier. It's a great first time watch and it would be a crime to just watch an edited version

Lee

I voted for The Thing for obvious reasons, but I hope It Follows has its day. A truly unique horror movie.

Saphthings

Sunshine was horror? I just think it was a beautiful space movie...

Devin Witt

Talk to Me is a fantastic Australian horror film! Made by the brothers from the YouTube channel RackaRacka! It's been fun to watch their career over the years.

DudeTrue

If you haven't seen Perfect Blue, it's a fantastic anime psychological thriller from 1997. The movie itself is fantastic, and has only gained relevance as time goes on. Synapsis: a young pop idol named Mima has decided that she wants to give up the pop-star life and pursue acting, but a mysterious stalker and mental breakdown get in the way... and that's before the murders start.

Derek Skipper

The thing is one of my favourite movies of all time but I hope you watch It Follows. One of the most tense movies I have ever seen.

Mastervodo

Great Choices Jen! The Thing is classic! Kind of a classic horror movie must!

Aaron D

Hoping for Event Horizon, but you haven't seen The Thing?!?! Definitely required sci-fi watching. It's also ... a lot? it's a lot.

Christian Rennie

Gotta be The Thing, right? Best reaction for Ang. But if it is one a week for October: 4) It Follows 3) Event Horizon 2) The Mist 1) The Thing :)

Ron Fehr

Horror, not my thing. I didn't vote.

Jessica H.

Funny Sunshine is on the list. The latest doctor who you're watching The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit always remind me of that movie!

Keith Matz

Hard to pick! I think the Mist would be a great reaction, not least because of Thomas Jane... but I really love The Thing and It Follows too!

Gustav

Hoping for either event horizon or the thing

Jennifer Medicus

I love The Thing but Event Horizon is the only sci-fi/horror film that I watched and said never again. Angela loves space. :)

Michael Wells

It's probably a failing of mine, but I've never seen any of those movies.

Nerd Chronic

My fav pick, Sunshine, ain’t got a chance but I hope you watch it one day 😭

Brigadine Type42

Pandorum is so under rated... It's a really great movie. And a bit of a less known flick, like Sunshine.

Paulo

Im sorry but the whole thing it’s a big nope for me I thought for a second it was going to be about which anime movie you were going to watch next, which I would have replied “Your Name “. Sorry I don’t like scary movie’s I will probably will be skipping this one

SomeOneGuy

The Thing is one of my favorite films of all time!

Mathew Norris

You really can't go wrong with any of these films

Sean

It would be a travesty to not watch the seminal 1980s John Carpenter movie John Carpenter's The Thing.

Gweg

I had no idea other people even knew about Pandorum, much less liked it. One of the most underrated 2000s horror movies imo.

D.M. Lipkin

I voted for Sunshine, because it's got space shit.

scorpius drall

i have to recomend Abigale (2024) its my new favorite

Konrad Dawid Wojsław

The Thing (1982) followed by The Thing (2011) are the best choices from those that fit the definition. But Event Horizon (1997) is something too, and since you like space stuff then this and Pandorum (2009) is what I recommend also.

Psychotic Panda

Yall sleepin on talk to me. One of the best horror movies in over a decade, directed by Aussie brothers who are YouTubers.

Timboslice

The Mist is great too

Steven Cavanagh

Lost boys and Dog soilders are a good choice

Moricant

Some great choices there but The Thing definitely stands out.

George Ray

Even tho it probably won’t win I hope you visit Midsommar at some point!

Esteban M.

It felt like another Ouija movie to me. Try The Autopsy of Jane Doe, The Empty Man, Censor, Glorious, When Evil Lurks,The Void. These were my personal favorites of the last decade

Esteban M.

I'd skip the 2011 one. It didn't really add much and it has none of what made the 82 one great. It was a studio film and it would have had a much better chance with the original practical effects that the studio scrapped for CGI and all the reshoots they demanded because the film felt too 80s.

Esteban M.

I'm sad Ben Foster hasn't become a huger star. He's an amazing talent everytime I see him pop up.

Esteban M.

You'll be fine. Midsommar is much tamer than Hereditary. It leans more on the weird and its setting/atmosphere for its scares than the creepy/unsettling scares from Hereditary.

Slick447

Really? Event Horizon? I knew it was at cult status, but I didn't think it had this many fans.

Psychotic Panda

That’s the point? A modern day Unique version of it. The directors are the main reason it’s so good tho. 2 YouTubers that are brothers from Aussie that genuinely know how to shoot a good film. The other ones u said seem like I’ve seen them all before. Spooky ghost ooohh ahhh vibe. To each as there own tho. I mainly enjoy talk to me because of the way it was shot and the uniqueness for having it be shot and filmed in Australia.

Jeremy Vickers

Does anybody else support other reaction, Patreon folk? If so, you gotta be tired of watching the usual suspects on a poll list. How are any of these other movies going to stand a chance when you put “the thing“ up there. I think Pandorum is a better movie than Event Horizon by leaps. Yeah the in between films don’t stand a chance. Don’t Breath is an effed up film but Mist would beat it…. We need polls that push the inbetweens. You can’t put like the Godfather on a poll with I dunno when Harry met sally just an example because in a poll like that you know who was going to just at a glance. Just a thought round up the lost films the ones that get stuck in the cracks of these lopsided polls. I mean The Thing??? Who do you think is going to win. 🥸

Esteban M.

If you like it that's all that matters. It just didn't do it for me because a lot of it had been done in so many other films and didn't feel new to me.

Jeremy Vickers

Oh I’m sorry I thought you were the person. The new set up on the Patreon app gets me mixed up. It was a friends channel I meant to post to. I think it’s still sound advice. If you just look at the poll, you can see which big name movies they’re just getting all the votes. In fact, it’s really good statistics now I would take that information and you’re no newbie at this so you know the big name movies Before you even put them on the pole now you feel a pole up with all the big names… so that makes sense. Now, looking at pre-existing polls where the small fries that are still amazing movies but will never get a chance you make a poll out of them. I got a job in advertising and when I see through my Google analytics that a commercial isn’t getting the same reaction as others well that makes me rethink the commercial. What questions didn’t I answer in that commercial? How can I fix it to make it better? Even the bad commercials that I make teach me how to make better ones. That’s all I was saying. I wasn’t trying to be mean or trolling. It was just a curiosity to me but you I love everything you do. I just made it through the expanse, and I don’t know when I had a better time watching that show and I’ve seen it several several times. And the way you can. Emote is quite amazing. Nah you’re awesome girl. We need more Doctor Who. This is a very selfish statement, but we need more Doctor Who the odd classic who. Might be awesome. Taking requests of the best classic who episodes and turning them into a pole would be absolutely amazing. I would be incredibly interested in the statistics and what episodes people prefer than others. Personally I think you should start with The Five Doctors. Every friend I wanted to get hooked on Classic who I always showed them the five doctors. It’s a great way to familiarize yourself with all the doctors and their companions. And it’s an amazing story. Seriously all love.🫵👍🥸

funnylilgalreacts

I base all of polls on what my subscribers are asking for. I ask for rec's and then put them in the polls. I cater to the ones that give the suggestions. If you want something in particular you can always suggest something in the chat. I'm still planning on watching other movies but this is the one specifically picked by My Patreon members

Jeremy Vickers

It’s fine. I have a hard time expressing my thoughts in text form. I don’t think you’re understanding what I was trying to say, but that’s cool. It’s my fault and the medium we’re communicating through. No worries.

Cody Barnes

Event horizon is right up your alley. Space Shit.

William Wood

I loved event horizon, saw it at the cinema and was blown away. Saw it again last month, and it still stands up well.

Frank Izaguirre

I'm torn between Event Horizon and The Thing. I mean, I'm choosing Event Horizon...but I'm torn. :)

pat on

Event horizon is a great movie but it could have been even better apparently the director was pressured into giving up his editing time, then when they wanted to do a directors cut they found all the film was degraded.

Firefly24601

No matter which film wins, you should watch Midsommar someday. You will LOVE it.

Michael Nolan

Imma gonna be controversial and say you need to see ALL of these movies ASAP! Good selection, many mostly Space Shit, others Scifi oriented but without Space Shit focus, still others with no SF connection at all - but all of them quality!

Adrian

Tusk

Delford Chaffin

Sunshine is amazing. Not really horror, but has horror elements I guess. But a beautiful film!

Aaron T

I don't know I kind of feel bad recommending movies that are either going to emotionally devastate and terrify you. That being said The Thing, The Descent, The Mist and Midsommar.

George

Yay, The Thing romping home, top notch, it's a firm favourite of mine. Event Horizon is the bomb, as the kids say, it's great, and Sunshine is also pretty good. Both are nice sci-fi horror space shit, I think you would love them, and I recommend giving them a look.

Diego Neves

Hi, Angela. I can't comment elsewhere so I'll just do it here: I think people get overexcited with shows that are deep, edgy and emotionally demanding, and I kinda worry because I myself need some levity in my watch regimen. All of this to say: I think Community or Gravity Falls would absolutely bring this levity to you, if that is something you feel that you also need. Cheers, and love your channel!
