I was a viewer from YouTube and saw that you have a free trial to watch these videos, so I thought, why not? I don't have a ton of time in the day, so I probably won't really be subscribing anytime immediately soon. Which sucks because I love your insight as well as how giddy or emotional you get on impactful scenes or characters, but I don't have a ton of time to watch your other videos as life is currently. I want to subscribe! I'll tell you why I will subscribe in the future after I say these two important things: 1: The anime is loads upon loads better than the live action. I feel like Nami was translated well into live action, and Sanji (Taz Skylar) is a good actor, although his character is more of a simp in the anime, not this creepy rizz-lord or whatever he is trying to do (which is very off-putting, even to you). Saying that, a lot of the acting by Zoro/Luffy/Usopp/Garp and others, the storytelling and plot lines are *way off* than what are shown in the anime/original story. Zoro is a completely different (and MUCH BETTER) character in the anime. In this, he is broody/angsty, with very little emotion. In the anime, he is animated and funny, arguing and having fun with his crewmates. Back stories are better, everything is better. Though they did well on the costumes and sets :) It's a good adaptation. 2: I am assuming you are watching different shows because it's enjoyable, but also because it has surely become somewhat of an income source, and I respect and love that. If your motivation --happened-- to be money, I would definitely immediately subscribe if you started your OP journey in the anime. Not only me, but I promise you that so many more would. The One Piece fandom is massive as it's an amazing story that just becomes better and better. Many others (Haylo/Kiss, Devan clan, etc.) have been turned to the anime via the Live Action, and they are in love with it. Devan Clan (45-ish year old super sweet/genuine couple with a family) say it's their favorite story and are trying to turn their parents onto it, and already have done so with their kids, and they say they want their grandkids to watch it as there are life lessons and other things. It is genuinely god-tier storytelling in it's original form. I figure you won't do this as you are not an anime watcher in general, but I think you should genuinely/seriously consider it. It's a beautiful story. There is a reason it is the #1 manga/anime in Japan. The emotions and stories are portrayed infinitely better than the live action. This is assuming you watch it in the Japanese w/subtitles. The English version is not great much at all :( It may be off-putting that there are so many episodes.. Don't commit to watching every episode. Just watch 1-2 a week and enjoy the journey. Stop completely after you get caught up to Arlong Park and Nami's story maybe? You could wait for Season 2 of the live action. I would bet that you will not be able to stop then, though. It can be slow in this East Blue saga, but picks up and is insanely good. Like I said, even the amount that is translated to Live Action is done so much better. I doubt you'll read this but I appreciate your time and sharing a fun reaction/re-watch with us! You're definitely a funny lil gal :)

Usopp is the bravest person out there because he’s clearly terrified and yet he still is there beside his crew staring down his fears even with a terrified expression and if he didn’t take out the one guy that can attack long distance the two hand to hand combat guys would have been screwed

I had a lot of fun watching your reactions and I hope you do one for season 2. Mihawk and Shanks obviously knew each other and also fought in the past before Shanks lost an arm. This makes you understand that Shanks is not a common pirate either. But, yes, sadly not much is known about him. There's a remake of the anime in production called "The One Piece" which promises to address the pacing of the original anime and give a modern animation to the East Blue Saga so you may want to watch that too when it's released. Also, the Sphere will be used to celebrate the 25 years of the manga in early June. Being in LA, you can't miss that!

Also, to your point with Garp’s turnaround feeling rushed, I agree. It didn’t bother me too much, but in the anime Garp isn’t a significant figure until much later, so there isn’t this weird dichotomy of him having an obligation to chase Luffy down but also being his grandfather. By the time they have substantive interaction Luffy is in the Grand Line and is quite the notorious pirate
