I think the reveal Leoben and Kara found on Earth really shook the guy's foundations. Sadly we didn't get much of Callum but he was not cheap :D

Thank you for letting us experience your journey. I just wanted to say that the way I understand the Mitocondrial Eve is a theory mostly disproven (there where probably many women that people can trace their line back too). I like to think that if we take it as fact in BSG Hera is as Mitocondrial Eve 'the most recent woman from whom all living humans descend' then key there is recent humans not all humans so many humans in the past are not descended for anyone from the fleet while others are descended from Gias & Caprica Six etc.

Not sure I'd say the theory is "mostly disproven". I know Wikipedia isn't an authoritative source, but based on the current entry about Mitochondrial Eve, the notion that all current humans have a matrilineal most recent common ancestor (mt-MRCA) isn't in dispute. There has been debate about when the mt-MRCA lived, but most estimates line up with the 150,000 years ago depicted in BSG. The original estimate when the theory was published in 1987 was 140,000 to 200,000 years ago, while a 2013 study estimated 160,000 years ago, and another 2013 study estimated 99,000 to 148,000 years ago. However just because we're all descended from Hera doesn't mean that none of us are descended from Gauis, Caprica Six, or other survivors of the most recent cycle of violence. It just means that not all of us are. Over time the bloodlines of the first generation of survivors would have mixed. And since my own lineage includes a Scottish ancestor, I'm pretty sure I have at least a bit of Chief Tyrol in me, LOL.
