Ascetics are the lowest rank of the church disciples. Through auto-hypnosis, abstinence and celibacy they prepare themselves to be the perfect sacrifice in the Dionysiac ritual orgy to appease the Haunter of the Dark, Nyarlathotep's avatar summoned by the Augur with the Shining Trapezohedron.
