Should we keep the Quick Menu in VR Mode? (Patreon)

We have been receiving contradictory responses regarding the new VR control method we implemented in update 1.25 after the build is released. Now we wish to hear from you about whether we should revert to the earlier UI based interaction style, or continue improving based on current system.


The command instructions for 1.25 are listed below.


VR control overhaul:

Press Trigger and move left/right : Rotate Camera

Push Stick forward/backward: Change Speed

Push Stick left/right: Change Sex Phase

Press Stick: Activate Quick Menu

Release Stick when quick menu is opened: Select Pose/Return/Climax

Jump to POV: Grip + Trigger

Interesting. I feel like if anything, just improve the commands for the quick menu.

the new menu allows for better control over the scene and, well lets face it...one handed control has its advantages with a game like this...

The issue is not with the menu, just the use of release-to-select. Switch to press-to-open press-again-to-select alleviates the problem.

interaction sounds good on paper - but is usually incredibly awkward in practice.

I agree with Psuedo's comment. The menu is fine, it's just the odd having to hold it down and release to select that makes it difficult.

hello ! i'm new in this project but not in VR. I'm wondering if there will be a way to touch the doll with our virtual hand = VR controller ?!

i would like to be able still use mouse controls while using the Vr version as i dont have touch controllers but i use a vr headset, or be able to use a xbox gamepad or atleast have an option to use a gamepad or keyboard.

New Patron here - controls in WMR feel pretty good. This is progressing nicely. I did have a question on the key I received for my patronage. Where is the key entered? Is there more features than current two scenes and single pane of clothes? Really like the work so far. Keep up on the VR portion for sure. It is great in VR.

I liked changing pose by pressing the trigger and moving the remote back and forth. You felt more connected to the character and it felt like you were moving her with your hand. The new method feels like just tapping a button. Why choose one control method or another? Options are good.

I would say keep both. In some times the clicking is preferable and in others the sticks are really fast=good. With rift thou, I seem to mis-click alot while have selected the option in the quick menu while releasing the stick. The selections fluxuate too easily while releasing the stick. Also with rift's touch controllers the left/right position switching barely works at all for me. Or is there a trick to it? Just having a pose active and pressing the stick left and right seems to do nothing. The speed changes work thou, but not the pose changes...

Welp, it was a pain in the ass to rotate camera so we have to put it on the trigger key to alleviate the clumsiness.
