I watched this episode when it first aired. I was only 15 then and my favorites were always the action-filled episodes. Subtler episodes tended to bore me a bit - even the great ones like The Girl in the Fireplace or Midnight. But even then I remember just sitting there afterward being completely floored by the masterpiece I'd just experienced. I just wanted to see more. It's stuck with me for all the years since and I've been waiting for you to reach it for years now. Can't wait to see the analysis.

In my opinion this is the single greatest episode of Doctor Who of all time. The ending montage gives me chills with Murray Gold's score.
