So many incredible moments in this one, but I was so drawn to this one.

We really are at the last stretch now. That line father told Greed, is probably the most revealing line he has said in regard to who the dwarf is. I'm pretty sure the only time we have seen him show any emotion (well with the exception of now when he is about to open the portal) is when he had Greed still inside and he met the brothers for the first time and he learned they are the sons of Hoheinheim That scene with the hands and everyone falling especially Pinako and Winry always gets me. now i must go and prepare myself emotionally for the last episodes..

Super interesting hearing your thoughts on the character of the Dwarf in the Flask, who at his core is seeking freedom, born from a human desire indeed. very fitting that Hohenheim himself was a slave.

I love the animation on the scene of the giant hand grabbing on Earth's door. At that point you just think "wait, what were we thinking? we humans never stood a chance"

This episode is definitely the most cryptic episode of FMAB I would say many people don't get it. I myself also didn't get it the first time but you had, as expected, a better understanding of it watching it the first time. The last scene is amazing and one needs a bit of time to think about it cause the scale is just insane and what it actually means for Ed and all the other people own their in Amestris. Funny thought, just think about it how the people of Xing and Drachma waking up cause of a earthquake and seeing a big black blubb appear at the horizon reaching for the moon door in the sky. Some people would say, we need to go to sleep again😂😂 On to the last 4

As someone who really loves antagonists in stories I totally feel you when it comes to being drawn to ‘darker’ characters. Father or Dwarf in the Flask is definitely not in my top antagonists of anime/manga or even in my top ones for this series but he is still fascinating. It can easily be viewed as one note through the eyes of a causal watcher but Arakawa has definitely characterised him super well, particularly like you said, you just need to look at his ‘children’. It’s such a great narrative tool to characterise your ‘big bad’.

"The Madlad actually did it!" had me proper chuckling, not gonna lie. Didn't expect that sort of analysis!!! Even though, as you say, as viewers instinctively we all gather that this is not the end state of this story, and expect at least some level of resolution to the villain's dastardly deeds, I can still remember it being a truly breath-taking and shocking thing to watch play out on screen for the first time. This run-in to the end in this anime really is quite some spectacle. Looking forward to the final 4!

Will Watches

We're so used to everyone else using alchemy that yeah, Scar's use of reconstruction takes a moment to sink in. I think most people didn't realise it right away, especially when its the spikes, something quite common that we see other alchemists make

oh and I had to come back to agree, I love a good villan, sometimes I like them more than the protagonist even lol
