Not a very intriguing episode, but a very pretty episode. Loved some of the shots here. Can't wait for you to continue Capaldi's run.

This episode is mostly a miss for me, but I did appreciate the photography for the first time, so thank you for bringing that to my attention.

Possibly the weakest episode of Capaldi's run so far but it does have some interesting ideas I suppose as well as Clara and Danny spending more time together.

I feel like "family show" is more accurate than "kids show". Either way I'm not too fond of people dismissing bad writing with "it's meant for kids!" unless it's literally written by a child, (obv not saying you're doing this, you meant it with regards to there being a lot of children in this episode) but a lot of people handwave the sillier elements of DW a lot by saying it's a kid's show. Really the idea was always for it to be watched with families, by kids supervised by their parents -- an important distinction in my opinion. As early as the show's second serial where the Daleks were introduced the show had an identity of even being too scary for children. And now in the present with the age of streaming it's definitely ambiguous who the target audience is.

this is definitely the weakest in s8 for me, but it's pretty and peter along w/ Jena always manage to elevate whatever they are given. honestly my only big problem with the ep is the little girl and that ending lol wut?? looking forward to next week! thanks ♡

The weakest episode of s8 but also a nice light hearted sort of romp, nothing serious or the best or interesting story.

Also when Danny talks about seeing the things close to him clearer is almost a mirror of what the doctor says to the Clockwork man in the first episode of s8 (he talks about how the true beauty is the small things in the world, I forget how he says it exactly)
