Yes yes yes - he's finally back!! 😍😍😍

Bradley didn't actually say "shogun" or ”将軍” over the radio. It was shokunn, ”諸君”, which means "everyone" usually used in a context to address subordinates. Gentlemen is actually a pretty good translation in that sense. It's likely the blu-ray translation that's actually wrong. -Source: Speaks Japanese

And with that we're done with outsourcing. Telecom episode with a storyboard by their rock-steady regular for these episodes, Nobuo Tomizawa. Quality wise their work remained indistinguishable from Bones’ own work up until the end; which is to be expected of a well managed and seasoned company filled with so much talent. They did episodes 13, 18, 24, 34, 44, 50, 55. Bradley says ただいま諸君 (tadaima shokun) which literally translates to the “I am back, gentlemen/you people.” Whereas general, or 将軍 (shougun) is different. You can hear how the “o” sound isn’t prolonged in what he says, but instead it’s a short sound (like in the English word “not”), whereas in ‘shougun’ it’s prolonged. Also why I prefer to use the way of romanization that I do - you will see me write “Yuusuke” instead of “Yusuke” because the first “u” is prolonged, and the second one isn’t. You might have seen the macron’s be used as well to show a prolonged sound (“shōgun,” “Yūsuke”). Unfortunately the most common way of romanizing Japanese is arguably the worst one out of all the options, lol. *edit: oh i was late 😂 but yeah, what james said

Guess whose back, back again lol i love how Mustang just goes and teases Ed instead of just thanking him idk makes me remember how sometimes me and my brother were growing up. But yeah that little talk with Scar and Riza, who would have thought it would happen just some episodes ago i have many feelings about hoheinhaim and father, but I’ll save them for later

I don’t know if you remember it but since the first time you saw the husband of Izumi Curtis you said you wanted a scene of him and Armstrong together and here we are 40 episodes later. Waited so long for your reaction to it and it was priceless. As you said, it’s a very iconic scene haha King Bradley‘s appearance here is definitely more badass than father and my fav in the whole show. I was also surprised you didn’t catch King Bradley immediately once he walked there in the background, it did take some seconds. :D The Death of Sloth is the least impressive one imo but at the same time it’s still kinda depressing seeing these sins dying cause every one of us have these same feelings in us and it hits in a very weird way. I also see through this rewatch a lot of scenes that I completely forgot and the Scar/Hawkeye scene is one of them. I must say it is my fav scene of the episode. It recalls the fantastic character arc of Scar and the love of Hawkeye for Mustang. It doesn’t need to be romantic but she still loves him and needs him as a person. The father/Hohenheim fight scene was hilarious. Father wanted to beat him and Hohenheim makes on the other side some details in his alchemistic creations like the ladder in that one tower. Laughed so hard at this watching it the first time, really shows the difference between them. Can’t wait for the last 9, at this point I’m just gonna start counting now. Off topic, new trailer of JJK S2 confirms Shouta Goshozono as the director of S2. It is the same director that did CSM episode 8 and he will direct the whole season. It’s gonna be gas

Bradley, said Shokun (諸君) or gentlemen.

ooh that’s great about JJK, I was starting to wonder what was going on 😅
