Haha yes, that cliffhanger gets everyone. Next episode tho… potentially my favorite in the whole show, so I’m looking forward to Tuesday very much

That cliffhanger huh (Eva also having one, it was a cliffhanger week lol) and I think not watching more than one in one sitting will get harder and harder haha Yeah, fire alchemy can truly be terrible as we've seen, and why Riza's father didn't want the military to have it, as you said lol. with Lust it was cold, to protect and that's it. With envy he is fully letting his rage control him, he's torturing envy and enjoying it to a point tbh partly because he wants envy to feel the pain he felt losing Huges.(at least imo) Also to me, it starts like yeah get envy but then is like...Roy? maybe this is not the way to go about it? As you said it gets quite dark. I'm very excited for the next, is also one of my favorites of all the anime

Another great episode and I'm 100% on your side with everything you said in this discussion. I also feel a lot of pity for Envy. The next episode on Tuesday is gonna be fire!

Yoshimichi Kameda https://i.imgur.com/m6y0Tuq.png The expressions are so cool. The posing is so cool. The impact frames are so cool. The way he shaded Roy’s coat with the sumi-e brush is so cool. Kameda is so cool. Four more episodes with him in the credits to go; next episode being the first. Tomokatsu Nagasaku, the animation supervisor for this episode, recently quote retweeted this scene and said: “This was the first time I was afraid of Kameda’s skill. I was so nervous working on this scene and tried my very best to not mess up and ruin the impact of his drawings. I ended up barely making any corrections, lol.” Animation supervisors are often thought of as the people who are there to maintain uniformity in the drawings; which is true, the role is necessary to enforce some cohesion to an episode often drawn by dozens of animators. However, that doesn’t mean they are there to restrict all idiosyncrasies for the sake of sticking to the character designs and consistency across the episode. As often animators themselves as well, they value the individual’s voice to be heard. Among the reasons why I’m so into anime specifically. For me, the old Disney films that were still traditionally drawn look lifeless in comparison. It’s like they are made by a single person from the first frame to the last. Or Klaus, which came out a few years ago and is a beautiful film, but lacks what I personally look for in the medium. edit: Just got done with the discussion part. You saying that the animation side of things has become one of the aspects you find exciting in anime makes me so giddy. You'll definitely get see much more, not only in the remainder of this one's final cour, but in so many of the anime you're planning to get to. I, for one, welcome you to the 作画オタ family.

Mustang looks scary as hell in this episode. He looks like he just joined the dark side.
