it’s kind of funny how the subtitles can’t seem to decide on whether to refer to Olivier as sir or ma’am

If nobody else got me, I know the "Early Access - Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood | Reaction & Review" semi-weekly upload from FILMBuFF got me. Thanks for the video man. Animation supervision by Masaru Ooshiro. An animator on two of the three anime films to get noticed by the Oscars. Demanding layouts throughout the episode with an immersive sense of framing. High angles, low angles, simulated lens distortion... Hell yeah man. Who else but Kameda for the chimeras. Snappy? Check. Ink brush? Check. Pitch-black shading? Check. Just generally raw? Check. - https://i.imgur.com/WWYuaUY.mp4

Yorki backstory was depicted in the manga before the events of this adaptation. Because those episodes were adapted in the 2003 adaptation, they skipped them in this one. They did a good job with the summary though.

Now I understand why you didn’t watch the op yet, it was cause of Pride haha. Once you watched the show you don’t see him as a spoiler, sorry for that. Didn’t come to my mind. I would say that studio Bones is the most consistent japanese anime studio of them all. Their best animation work is definitely Mob, but you can pick up any anime of them and you bound to get fantastic animation. The best animation makes Ufotable and Kyoto Animation and every anime of them is a banger, but they only make 1 or 2 anime projects a year hence why I would say the most consistent one is Bones. All 3 of them are also the most humane studio as far we know especially Kyoto Animation. I also did got sympathy for Yoki through this episode, but the flashback was hilarious, I laughed so hard watching that the first time. Another thing, what is the current plan with the OVAs?

Only on the second opening that was directed by Takuya Igarashi, the man who directed Soul Eater as well, which Nakamura was a regular on. Here: https://i.imgur.com/iK4DxN7.mp4 Bones have five studios: A, B, C, D and E. Brotherhood was made by Studio D. Nakamura works at Studio C.

Just some context on Yoki and the beginning of the series (I'm sure someone's told you but just in case): When they made the original FMA, it was following the events of the manga, but since the manga was incomplete they had to made a pivot to an original story partway through. As a result, FMA:Brotherhood was made with the assumption that a lot of people had already seen FMA, so they really condensed the first ~14 episodes of the show to "get to the new stuff". Changes essentially were essentially less time spent on certain plots/characters, which includes: - Less time with Hughes and family before his death - Less time in Liore at the start - Less time on the chimera dog story - Less time spent on the Ishval war flashback - Skipping the Yoki mining town plot which was supposed to happen near the start of the show Still love FMA:Brotherhood way more, but felt like it was useful context.
