Pretty sure that by the end of the first season alone your film reel intro could be five minutes long and still wouldn't be able to fit in all the gorgeous shots in this series. Aki focus was definitely the highlight of the episode. Jaw-dropping animated fight sequences are incredible as it is, but having every little movement carry the same quality? The morning routine and slice of life getting the love and attention it deserves? Holy shit, Mappa. You get me. also, just saying, Kon would be super marketable as a plushie too

Glad you were enjoying it! Love your video as usual "Kon" is onomatopoeia for the sound a fox makes 🤣 I see where you came from about the battle seeming pointless. There's a 90% chance that I'm only interested in character moments (that's one of the reasons you're my favorite reactor), but this fight is really in my heart. That scene makes a good characterization of Denji. It's easy to look down on his dream from the first 3 episodes, and it's the first time the character responds to this. It's also the first time to saw Denji showing an abnormal wild side (amazing work for the facial expression, acting like a dog, and voice acting...etc.) In my opinion, the battle between the zombies and the bat is less important because it is more like a "pure battle". love this moment as much as Aki's scene. I have no intention of "guiding" how it should be viewed (I can't do it as well). I support you in sharing as many true reactions and opinions as possible. Please forgive me if my wording is inappropriate. The number of staff (credits) in this episode is much more than in the first three episodes. It will be a miracle if the same level can be maintained in the remaining.

I don't think it's a fair comparison. The script and purpose of each episode are different. You can't be so touched by the leech battle without the bat scenes. Imagine how much less entertainment would be if you couldn't see Denji's face in the leech battle.
