Yeah, I also compare him to Palpatine 😁. There are good elements in it, but they're not stringed together properly, and the whole Chakri and Tally or whatever comes out of nowhere with no set-up and no follow-up. We're expected to treat it as if it's always been part of the lore.

Another one I’ll probably be sticking to the edited reaction for, haha. I think the rest of the season however gets a lot better. I will say that with this episode in particular there are a lot of tropes of its main writer that I’m now picking up on that I didn’t before

The whole charger thing is actually the same thing from a town called mercy. The order of season 7’s airing had to be rescheduled due to concerns by the bbc. I can’t exactly remember what it was. But it was something about airing an episode that the bbc deemed as dark maybe the doctor holding a gun in a town called mercy. Too close to an event to where more people would be watching TV at the time

If I'm not mistaken, the ending was so rushed because the actor for the Shakri was VERY very difficult to work with. Like, to the point where he was refusing to read lines and ignoring directions. They couldn't get much in the way of usable footage from him, so the ending was rewritten to what we got here.
