Not that it's an important detail, but I wouldn't say the town didn't want the powerplant per se. Frankly we don't know what their opinion on the matter was, but as the son said, the guy who was supposed to sign off on or not on the construction was paid off by the coal industry to deny the permit. Semantics though, they still forced the issue. Also, agreed, the use of editing and music is top class. Can't believe how fitting some of these (to various extents) mainstream songs fit to the plot, after that they acquired the rights, and put it together in a way that is in no way cheesy but extremely impactful. Last thing, the Doppler/young Claudia thing didn't strike me as all that weird in the way it seems like you're implying; at least the couple times I watched through. I can definitely see where you're coming from with that take on it, but I just kind of figured he's an awkward guy who came out of frustrated phone call and is immediately trying to be polite with this kid and doesn't really know how.

With creepy priests like No Name and Noah it's no wonder all the churches shown are empty. I'm sure they scare the churchgoers away. I thought Doris was a goner there. I had to look up the Ariadne song as I thought it was written for this episode. It's called The Labyrinth Song by Asaf Avidan released in 2015. Just perfect. I'm sure Bo and Jantje had it in mind from the beginning.

I always loved that scene with Hannah and Helene. A horrible and sad reveal about Helene being pregnant at that age and a moment of revelation for Hannah. And all of that with a great comeback of bootstrap paradox. I think you can now see from where Helene’s aggressive attitude toward her daughter came from. It seems her family or the environment she came from wasn’t the best to say the least. It’s not an excuse for her of course, but at least you can understand now.

Loved how you remembered the line young Noah asking older Noah about the origin of the Prophecy journal, that it must`ve been someone who travelled a lot and seen everything. I don`t think our Noah ever found out who the origin was as he died in Season 2. Alternate Noah on the other hand, was in the loop of things.

The Unknown has some of the best quotable phrases in the entire series. He kinda captures that early season 1 Noah fascinating vibe to me, instantly making him one of my favorite characters in the whole show for sure.

If what you said about the Unknown as a singe entity is true, and there are two Agnes's, that is certainly a conundrum.

The second coming of the “zoom and enhance” session for Dark is upon us, lets go! 😂

In addition to the exceptional story and plot, breathtaking cinematography, great acting performances and peerless casting, the Dark crew has phenomenal taste in music. Asaf Avidan is great, and has a song in each season, the same as Agnes Obel.

I can't listen to that song without turning into an absolute crying mess, it's unreal
