Oh yeah!! I was so waiting to see your reaction to this specific episode, partly because it will confirm your suspicions about the pre destination paradox, but mostly because I know how attached you are to Jonas and Mikkel/Michael. It was the most waited reunion but the most painful and dreaded one!! This show is just unique. I consider it the best series I have ever seen. Everything is thought, connected, meaningful and perfectly executed. And the stellar casting is just on another league. The music is an actor of itself in these episodes. And laslty !! The montage and editing !!Genius. Thank you for these great réactions / discussions. And yeah! I really wish Dark has more attention than it actually gets , because it is a real gem!

I'm so happy that Mikkel at least had a happy ending. It may be tragic from an outside perspective, but for him, he finally, after all these years, realized why he traveled back. To have his son. And he died so he could save him. I think for Mikkel, this was a happy ending. By the way, I don't mind a break. The third season is by far the most complex and mind-boggling one of the series, so a rewatch of the first 2 can help a lot.

About the scene of "travelling Jonas" and Martha at the lake: It's not just that Jonas knows that Martha dies in the apocalypse, but also that he beliefs that he is about to undo it all, by preventing his father's suicide, which would mean, that he will never be born and so Martha will never get to meet him. So, in that sense, it's a good bye to Martha, thinking that he himself will cease to exist.

This episode is also one of my all time favorites for this show. I just love that reunion between Jonas and Michael, the actors really did a great job portraying all the emotions. I really like how Michael seems like such a sweet and loving dad, makes all of it even more heartbreaking 😢

The planned break is perfect for me because I watched seasons 1 and 2 back in the day but never finished it. Now I'm rewatching it with you and can use your rewatch break to experience season 3 on my own first. :P

Seeing a young naive Jonas who believed he had all the time in the world to then seeing a Jonas who has been through hell and believes it's his last day of existence and not wanting to leave anything unsaid was awesome to watch. Seeing happier times with the knowledge of what is lost and sacrificed makes this episode especially emotionally impactful. Just flawless writing and acting to get to this point.

Just want to chime in on your discussion about the audience and viewers on your Dark reactions and say that I'm here for every reaction and can't wait for the next one every time. It's also my all time favorite show, and I feel like I've seen just about everything out there worth mentioning. Not enough people react to this show and it's truly a shame. So I really appreciate you making these videos!

It really does suck that this show just didn't get the traction it deserves on Youtube, but I enjoy our niche community here. This show is S+ tier, and you have excellent discussions that I always enjoy and sometimes get to learn new tidbits I missed! I am very supportive of you giving a rewatch before the last season, I think it will be very beneficial to your enjoyment! With that in mind, do you think you'd make a recap discussion where, after the rewatch you talk about how you view the series to that point and most importantly new things you picked up on going into the final season? I think that would be very interesting, though I understand if that's a hassle.

I am so very happy you have come across this beautiful show. Speaking on the community, I was lucky enough to discover this masterpiece fairly early, around the same time I was really going through some shit myself. I can truly say this show changed my life and I met many others who have said the same. Seeing someone else have as an emotional and cathartic experience as I had is unexplainable. Slowly catching up on Dark <3 The scene with Jonas seeing Mikkel/Michael again and their hug absolutely broke me. I had forgotten that the Stranger has said that Mikkel had saved his life so was great to see you bring it up - it has been a big question I had after season 1, especially after the reveal of him being future Jonas. How great is the casting in this show? Loved how you could pick that that was Magnus upon seeing him! Thank you so much for your wonderful content <3
