Dark day = good day 😌

OMG I totally forgot how good this part of the series is. I have to make some time to rewatch season 2. Absolutely top tier storytelling and acting

Loved this episode even more on my second watch! Also, Egon's character has grown on me and I do indeed like him. These families are pulling at my heart strings man. I was tearing up with you haha. Adding to my post about you mentioning wanting to slow down with this series. I am holding back on watching S3 because of this 🥲

Definitely a top 5 episode for me. That scene of Claudia crying man :(

Probably the best episode for me so far. So glad I decided to just dive into this blind when you uploaded the first episode. I also understand you wanting to slow down and savour something like this. Shows like this don't grow on trees and this is one of those we would give an arm and a leg to experience again for the first time. Not looking forward to the numerous moments of feeling jealous at other people saying "Oh, I just started watching Dark," even years from now. This is turning into one of my favourite shows of all time. I'm also a huge Egon fan. Definitely not far behind Jonas and Noah's temple vein in my list of top characters.

Have you watched The Wire? That feeling you explained at the beginning of not being able to fill in the hole that Dark will leave when it finishes I also felt it with it. While it doesn't have fantastical elements I think you would love the characters, storytelling, editing etc. I couldn't wait with Dark after you started but it's great to rewatch it at a slower pace now.

If you think this is one of the best episodes, have fun with the next 5 episodes :)

It was indeed heartbreaking to see how young Claudia and her father interacted and that the relationship ultimately breaks down in the next 30 years.

if you want a short mindfuckery show after this, I can always recommend Tabula Rasa, A Belgian show from a few years ago, it's a short 1 season story. It plays brilliantly with the "unreliable narrator" concept, because it's about a missing person's case, and the last person to have seen them is a woman with severe memory issues, but it's also mainly told from her perspective.

I'm pretty sure it's been mentioned, but Claudia's mother's name is Doris. Regarding Noah's name, there's a scene in season 1 (although I can't remember the exact episode) where a newspaper clip is shown featuring an article on Noah as the new priest in Winden and if you pause it and read it, you can see a name and a surname. I'm not going to write it here in case you'd think of it as a spoiler, just putting it out there if you'd ever want to check it out for yourself.
