By the time this episode was coming out David Tennant has already announced he is leaving and Matt Smith wasn’t announced until a couple of weeks after it aired so when there was trailers and promotional material you could imagine the speculation

This is one of those rare episodes of Doctor Who that I’m content to watch your abridged YouTube reaction. It’s a pleasant romp, but I think the suspense of the new Doctor’s identity is fairly weak. One deduces early on from the tone of the episode and the abundant clues that the revelation won’t be lore-shattering.
