I don‘t know if you have noticed but in the Shiganshina shot you can see a small lake. That‘s the location where Berthold transformed. I love the attention to detail from Isayama.

As always, a great discussion. One of the moments that I loved in this episode is Levi falling and surrounded by titans and how it is really similar to the scene of him being surrounded (again) by his soldiers who were asking for wine, isn't it fascinating! I have been an AOT fan from the beginning of the anime, but still, it hurts to wait. I got used to it, but it doesn't mean it doesn't hurts. Anyways, I will be waiting for the next episode discussion.

amazing discussion, its crazy how u noticed that Levi is just simply holding his head and its not a headache. In the manga Mikasa's headaches are always differentiated by having a throb text written beside them but ofc the anime can't have throb texts on the screen.

I hate Eren for doing what he did. I don't care if he wants to distance himself to "protect" Armin and Mikasa or whether he believes what he said. It's emotional manipulation and I can't stand that shit. Glad Armin stuck up for Mikasa, seriously best friendship in the series. Also gotta feel for Gabi. That shit must've been so awkward and horrifying. Quite the difference between the Eren she witnessed and the one Falco saw. Levi constantly watching those around him die is just the story of his life. He might be the most tragic character in the story. I love Zeke but he 100% deserved what he got there at the end. I love the use of K21 for their little fight, it was a bold choice but it paid off in my book. And finally, fuck Floch. At least Shadis recognized what was happening and saved those recruits.

I’m just glad Mikasa and Armin have each other at this point. Eren may have destroyed the friendship forever in order to distance himself from them (which I believe was his intention like you said), so they’ll need to rely on one another even more now. Also I really feel for Levi this episode. When he was essentially torturing Zeke at the end I admit I got some satisfaction out of it. He definitely had it coming. Also can someone please just shank Floch, well written or not he’s getting on my nerves big time

I think if he ever went back to read the manga from start to finish, it would be great to see his reaction to cut content or any changes that were made in the anime. We can only hope!

He's not watching the short teaser, the type of imagery it contains is the reason he skipped the trailer in the first place. On a similar note, the chances he reacts to a potential season 4 part 2 trailer down the line is very low. He reacted to season 3 part 2's trailer only because he was going on hiatus and because the trailer only contained things from the first episode. I doubt either of those things will apply with season 4 part 2's trailer. There's always OVA's and stuff like that during the season 4 break when it comes to Shingeki, so there's that to possibly look forward to (or whatever he decides).

Your take on Floch is the only reasonable anime-only opinion I've heard. He's the only survivor of a suicide charge, who obviously's suffering from a bad case of survivor's guilt and he found meaning in bringing the Devil back, whom he's ready to follow with absolute devotion. Though obviously surviving against all odds have left him fucked in the head a little, something like this scars a man for life.

You are making a point about the Attack Titan influencing Eren. I don't know what to say about that, it is something that i've been thinking as for a looong time now. I mean the show is literally called "The Attack Titan" The people that pushed this narrative so far and brought the Paradis side into the story were Kruger and Grisha. They were both holders of the Attack Titan (and later Eren) and we are following their story. But are we following their story? Or their Titans story? Idk.

Why It

Someone else put the table scene really well "Eren knows Mikasa is stronger than him and Armin is smarter than him, so he beats Mikasa mentally and beats Armin physically."

fyi in the manga, eren explains a bit more and explains how ackermans can manifest the power of titans in their human form. which explains both mikasa's and levi's super human strength and agility. he also tells her that the real mikasa disappeared in the cabin 10 years ago leaving only a shell that's a slave to her blood. i think it's important that the harshness of those specific words be realized cause mikasa is basically having an identity crisis, questioning if there rlly is meaning to her life which is the exact same feeling she felt when she lost her entire family. it's rlly sad that the person who gave meaning to her life also took it away from her through a couple words, and shows how great of an effect it has on her which we will see soon. but yeah loved the reaction and ur take on floch almost talking like a commander. i hate him so much but i respect his character and his complexities
