AOT really went from Marley to Maury 🤔 Episodes like this make me miss Erwin. We all know how amazing he is commanding the battlefield, but my favorite Erwin moments were some of the shenanigans he pulls in S3P1. It would be really interesting to see how he’d engage with all the new allies & factions in Paradis. And these comments are completely separate to my feelings about Hange as commander - I freakin love Hange, they’re one of my favorites. I never thought to connect Utgard with some of the developments from this episode, that’s a unique way of thinking about the series.

I believe the subtitles usually do not include the honorifics at the end of the characters names (ex: when Zeke calls Pieck “Pieck-chan” the subtitles only sat “Pieck”). I could be wrong of course, but I’m fairly certain the honorific of Hange-san is never actually shown in the subtitles throughout the show, or at least not throughout season 4. Great discussion as always Im! As an anime only, I always look forward to hearing your theories (sometimes you’re so smart I feel as though you’re reciting manga spoilers to me haha)

Isn't Mikasa still an Eldian reguardless of being an Ackerman?

In the manga, Mikasa's tattoo is shown in the scene when her parents die, Mikasa's mother was doing the tattoo before they died and you know the rest. in the anime they closed the scene so instead of the tattoo they show us an embroidery.

The Ackerman clan used to be part of the royals and they served as the king's shield, but it's never been clarified if they were also Eldians or not. IIRC though, it's been established that they were people that couldn't be mind-controlled by the Founding Titan's powers, which is why they got shunned when they turned against the king. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

Fun fact, this is episode 69, it was released on Valentine's day, and it shows Historia pregnant 😁 Coincidence? I think not.

I mean they have the colossal titan. Armin, as well as Levi and Mikasa Ackerman, so I wouldn't say it wouldn't be impossible to forcibly defeat Eren.
