Completely disagree with anyone who tries to make a case this episode was "filler". This was exactly the episode we needed after the massive battle and constant trauma we just wrapped up. Absolutely loved the pacing and directing of this episode, each scene was significant and earned.

Just out of curiosity, have you watched 4x1 yet / will the schedule be maintained even when s3 finishes, i.e. the week after the s3 finales video is released, the 4x1 video comes out a week after?

Zeppelins were around in the 1930's, but that was already the later stages of it. The beginnings of it go back to even around 1895. "Looking forward to next week" is an understatement. Anyway, gotta sleep and check the comments under the Midnight Sun video tomorrow for another 200 comments to delete.

he said he won't watch S4 until january in a earlier post this week, I don't know about if the schedule'll be maintained but : 3X20 should be released here the 19th, 3X21 the 26th, 3X22 should be the 2nd of January, so there's a possibitity he continues on to S4 immediately, but seeing he said he'll record in January I think there'll be a delay between him recording and uploading, we might have to wait a bit.

You can still condemn those heinous acts while still being curious about how it got to that point. There are some who don’t want to listen to the reasons cos they think it’s a way to justify the actions and treatment. But in my opinion, it’s ignorant to close yourself off from the explanation but still hate on them. Cos you’ll end up doing what the oppressors are doing and the cycle continues.

Grisha was 38-39 when he died and Zeke is 10 years older than Eren. Just in case if you didn't figure it out yourself in the following episodes.

I watched it for this episode, it was part of the full length version. I didn’t really feel compelled to do any sort of Analysis for it, essentially it was showing (spoiling) stuff from the first half. Very hype type opening, I certainly enjoy the song. I prefer the 3A opening.

I’m not sure if the “close yourself off from the explanation” bit is directed at me, it’s certainly not what I was doing. I was taking a hardline approach with this one, nothing could have justified those heinous acts and the treatment of those people. I didn’t say I don’t want to know why it happened.
