😄👌🏼 glad my vids do that for you. I absolutely love Blind Wave, but I think the Dub is atrocious, and I don't mean just the voice over, they literally changed some characters personalities! some of the dialogue changes are questionable as well.

I was excited when I saw them upload 1x1 last year.. until I saw it was dub. Countless moments that give you chills in this show are in great part thanks to the Japanese voice actors (the cast is arguably the best I've heard in an anime). I feel the dub cheapened the epicness/emotions on defining moments (on a related note, Eren's titan roar in dub makes me laugh during moments that aren't funny). I feel like if Yuki Kaji (Eren's voice actor) is in the show you're watching, you need to watch it in sub automatically. Good thing Accent Central exists and filled that subbed group reaction void for me.

I wish they did Full Length reactions. It would probably help their Patreon out as well, but I don't think they care about it that much. They have a great dynamic and while they don't figure out every little detail, the fact that they discuss an episode for 30-60 minutes makes up for that. They have passion and are funny. Not a lot of people have that in the reaction community.

Hey man, I was thinking of having The Death Note 1x1 reaction ready with AoT 3x12. I think it would be great to have people jump right into the next one, I’m sure there will be a lot of hype for 3x12, I think it would be beneficial to direct a lot of that traffic into my next Anime. I will definitely try my best to get the two lost girls OVAs in there as well, before 3B comes back.

For me it's tough to say with dubs vs subs, mainly because I started off watching the dubs so I got used to it, but for the reactions I've seen it's been all subs so now I'm more used to subs. For me, I like Ymir, Reiner's, Jean (voice actor also voiced Jean Havoc in Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood lol), and Armin's dub voices more, but for sub, I prefer Eren, Mikasa, Erwin (SASAGEYO), and Berthold (that scene where Berthold breaks down, the Japanese voice actor did an amazing job).

Damn man, you too? The dub is far from atrocious. There are some moments where the script is genuinely better. I thought you were a respectable critic that was above making such blanket statements based on a few clips.

Watched quite a few episodes in dub, out of curiosity, and the rest through Blind Wave's Reactions. Certainly more than enough to form an opinion on it. Can't say I agree with you on any of those points, which is fine, people have different views on things. The sub is far superior, in my opinion :)

i agree with filmbuff in that the sub is far superior and always has been thats for sure, but from my personal opinion the dub has made great strides since season 1

"The world is a cruel place, and it's home." compared to "the world is cruel but it is also beautiful" "No road left but the one that leads to the end" compared to "I'll fulfill my duty". "The world outside the wall is my birthright" compared to "I was born here". Everything Mikasa says in season 3. So many great lines that are roots to why I adore the show so much, it might be crunchyroll subs, but the lines just fall short for me in the text translation, and aren't as emotionally stimulating. Yeah I know it has flaws, but to call it atrocious is just unfair and feeds into sub vs dub bullshit. Let's see how intellectually consistent you will be when it's time to watch Fullmetal Alchemist. are you gonna stick to subs or are you gonna watch dub because it's more popular?

Honestly man, I think it's fantastic that the Dub does that for you, i'm not saying no one should be able to enjoy it. I was just giving my honest take on it, and I do find it quite unwatchable. When I eventually get to FMAB, it will be sub. I think Cowboy Bebop is the only one I will try the dub for (I'll try both sub and dub for episode 1 and then go from there)
