The soundtrack was epic too. kenny the ripper track. Lol I am in love with this too and watched it on daily basis past month. btw i have this scene down to science and the actual tracking begins a second or two earlier when he jumps from one wall to other..Lol

Seeing this chapter get animated was so unreal to me. It's been over 4 years since it was released, so to see that they put this much effort into this scene is amazing. And the scene with Levi and Kenny in the bar was always one of my favorites as well. Such a different feel and yet so good.

Such an awesome little moment of animation and kick-assery. Also, stellar reactions again. I've never cared about videos where people watch something and scream their lungs out at moments where they know their audience want reaction (exaggeration for example's sake), but it's entertaining to watch someone's take of series that they seem to be as invested in as you are and they really pay attention to.

I honestly wonder how many frames that were used in this shot. You should have kept in the part where he enters the bar. That was a cool way to end the scene.

Really eh ? so they'll do something like a mid season finale and then go on break for a few months ? or weeks ? Indeed that would work out nicely for me, would be so nice to be fully caught up and then watch along with everyone when it returns for the second half. I just hope they don't give you all the most major case of blue balls with a potential Mid-season finale XD

I heard on twitter that they finished the first part of voice acting. I’m assuming from this info that it will be split.

I saw that post too but I think all it said was season 3 voice acting was over. Considering season 3 was supposed to start airing in spring but got delayed, it could really mean that season 3 voice acting is done

Go on AoT Wiki, they share all the informations. There wont be new episodes for at least 3 weeks, we don’t know when there’ll be the second cour. However, in my opinion, it’s just good we know that there will be a second cour.

Thank god, there is a break, so they have enough time to do the animation properly. The best animation was in Ep2, afterwards you could see how it got worse and worse, I started to doubt that THAT MOMOMENT is gonna be done properly, but now my worries are gone... please be 3 months. With a longer break, Im will catch up and we get top notch animation quality, it's a win win situation. People who complain about this, should really be a bit more patient. In a couple of years no one is gonna say things like: " Oh but this season had a split cour ..." They either are gonna say: The adaptation was amazing!!!" or " The animation was trash!"

Don't know about that. WIT is a small studio and the next AoT episodes wil apparently share production time with Vinland Saga. I hope they get help from another team like in season 2.

Vinland saga is a great manga, its a blessing that a studio like WIT is adapting it. That's why its a bit worrying to hear that the production time will be shared, but I think to have 3 months more is still better than nothing.

"I" don't think the animation was bad after ep 2 at all. it was just less action more TALKING. they did pretty good animation for every piece of ACTION after that. can't go into details here. but TO ME everything looks crisp even after episode 2. maybe its the little changes in character art. Granted I know a break is still better for the show in the long run to even enhance that Animation.

If you think the usage of CGI in a non CGI anime is somehow good, you must be delusional. One of the worst things I have ever seen in AoT. Then, we had a lot of still images. This is not an indication of good animation quality. Nothings comes close to what I have seen in the beginning of Ep 2.

Even the producer George Wada said  this in the interview way back(not making it up).Look at the backgrounds in MOST of the episodes throughout the show wherever they need to show those beautiful feilds, the houses and buildings in the city or the scale in general (that is a lot of times) they MOSTLY use CGI. also there is CGI in other background characters in scenes and that occasional realistic smoke in show that feels like its right out of some high end game and even in the one just above in this post. look around Levi. the buildings are fkn CGI and yet its the most amazing peice of animation this year. its all about EXECUTION. and they did the execution of the latest CGI that stood out pretty good(IMO) .It adds to the creep factor that was needed (FOR ME at least and many people liked it too for the same reason).

I don't understand why people hate CGI in anime so much. I don't think it looks better than animated, but for massive things like collosal titan, CGI makes them feel even larger. When you mix 2d small soldiers and 3d massive titan, it imo looks really good

I was wrong about the animation point. Silver is right, however I still see no reason for complaining about a break. The animation can be topped and Im can catch up, so he can gather more subs.

The new videos should be up by the 30th, Black Sails is giving me some copyright problems. Still deciding how to release the AoT vids on YouTube, leaning towards one vid a day over the span of three days.

Few month break before the second cour starts sounds fine, better than a rush job. Lots of time for Im to catch up cleaner than what happened with season 2, can even fit in Lost Girls 1-3 during the wait.

Oh I should be able to squeeze in the Lost Girls specials. I was ready to do the poll winner as the long running anime and AoT S3 as the weekly Anime, so a few specials should be no problem :)

The "spoiler" that shows in Mikasa's lost girls episode should be covered in the last episodes before the break, so there's no issue if Im watches all three of them. If season 3 aired in April like it was supposed to and still had the break, It would have come out just in time to be watched.

I'll have 3x1 up on YouTube at some point today, shouldn't be a problem. Disputing copyright claims on a couple of the other vids and trying to re-edit them at the moment. I really wanted to put up AoT 3x1, Black Sails 1x1 and Doctor Who 2x7 at the same time on YouTube but copyright claims on a couple of them have made things very frustrating.
