New Anime Poll (Patreon)

Alright everyone! Here are the 6 options for the first poll. This will be the next ongoing Anime once I catch up with AoT S3. I apologize but I had to remove JoJo for now, I completely overlooked the fact that It's a very long show, and it's still going. I'm still very interested in that show and definitely want to get to it at some point.

This poll will end when I catch up with AoT S3, so it will be active for a couple of weeks, that should give everyone more than enough time to make a pick.

More than happy to watch any of the shows in this poll, so help me pick what's next! let's keep it friendly :) Thank you!

Death Note is the kind of show that you will enjoy, that's meant for you, the one that will bring you the views, and a plethora of reasons more, there are more people besides me aware of this fact as apparent from comments. FMAB is an overhyped show with too many fanboys behind its name. The same problem with FMAB is also on MAL(a website), neverending praise. It doesn't the deserve it. Sorry, not sorry. I'd rather you watch SAO, the show with the biggest hate bandwagon, than FMAB.

Why don't people let votes speak for themselves and just not watch the reactions if they don't like the show that got picked? Why write these comments? I didn't like Code Geass for example but if he had read about it and liked what he saw enough to include it in this poll and it won I'd move on with my life and just probably not watch those specific videos of his. Why aren't you a Death Note fanboy for writing that comment but the people voting for FMAB are FMAB fanboys? I could go on and on about this.

I don't care what anyone says. FMAB is my favourite Anime of all time. If that makes me a fangirl...whatever. I don't care. And I wanna mention that I loved Death Note as well - but in my opinion Cowboy Bebop and Steins;Gate are also better than Death Note. So if you wanna be original why don't you vote for one of those two. Otherwise I am hoping for FMAB. Can't wait for you to see it Im :) I love it so much.

While there are other shows on this list that I like more, I voted for Death Note because I feel there is more to talk about on that side compared to Fullmetal; and therefore I would like it to win over it. Nevertheless, One Punch Man followed by Steins;Gate would be my top picks for quality. (Though I might keep my vote on One Punch Man till near the end of the poll in hopes it might catch up, still a lot of patreons left.)

Not a whole lot of people talking about Cowboy Bebop here. That anime is one hell of an experience. So it's got my vote for sure, in this poll and all the ones to come.

It's great but there is not a lot to theorize about. SteinsGate or Terror in Resonance (from the makers of cowboy bebop) have a lot of mysteries and conspiracies to talk about. One punch man and FMAB is just a lot of action with comedy here in there.

People gotta remember that Im used to watch DBZ, so I’m pretty sure he enjoys both theoretical anime just as much as fun and exciting anime. I chose Death Note, but I would like him to watch the other anime as well. And since these anime are on the list, I’m sure he will get to them all eventually - people needs to relax and stop judging others on their choices

I know DN and FMAB are gonna win, and are both amazing shows so not complaining. However, I will vote for Steins;Gate, in my opinion a much better anime than Death Note.

In terms of enjoyment factor, I actually rate the other 5 over Death Note, and would normally recommend FMAB and Steins;Gate before DN to most other reactors getting into anime, but I feel that DN's the sort of show you in particular can make the most interesting post-episode analyses on.

The thing is, Im is still going to watch these shows since if he put them on the list, it means that he is interested in watching them, so whether FMA or Death Note or One Punch Man or Steins or whatever wins the poll, he will still watch these shows at some point... So there is no point in fighting over which show wins the poll haha :) It's just a poll to chose which show he is going to watch next, but it's not like he is going to watch only one show from the list and then never watch any other shows ever again...

FMAB and Deathnote are both great shows but i'm going with death note cause I think Im will enjoy it the most. Maybe even more than AoT but we'll have to see.

Did not expect to come in here and see all this pettiness. Lol cmon guys. Filmbuff isnt even big enough yet to have this much toxicity xD. Let em breathe before the coming storm. Cowboy Bepop is like on the Mt. Rushmore of anime, but I dont think its a good series to react to. I am also shocked it and One Punch Man got such little votes. Biases aside, I dont think its controversial or wrong to say that what we know from Im its a good chance he will prefer Death Note over FMAB. It doesnt mean one is better than the other, but Death Note just like AoT was designed to binge in way unlike your other Shounen. Death Note has endings and pacings that make you click to the next one along with having a plethora of theories you can discuss. FMAB is moreso organized like other typical Shounen in a way similar to HxH, Naruto, and DBZ where the character goes on a literal journey and you build a relationship with them. But the story is steady with peaks and valleys and doesnt orchestrate its way to be a page turner by design in the same way Death Note, Steins Gate, AoT, and even One Punch Man do. Especially FMAB, there are full stories that take place within an episode, while Death Note and AoT make fractions out of moments within an episode. Thats my two cents. I like all of these anime, but if you strictly go by the numbers Death Note even tend to give youtubers more subs and new fans, while FMAB just makes the subs the youtuber already have, even happier.

many great options here glad to see that! Although I don’t think OPM Is your cup of tea, great show! But It’s not much to speculate about or predict. Another one you should consider watching Is Re-Zero, great show with lots of mystery to It.

Haven't seen a single comment about Monster, I'm a bit surprised tbh. It's not my favourite of the bunch but I voted for it because I feel that it's the one closest to AoT in an area which I know Im loves to analyse: the mysteries. All the other anime listed apart from OPM have bits of mystery, but Monster (just like AoT) is fully drenched in it - it's the main thing driving the plot forward to the point where everything is centered around learning the truth. Apart from that, it also has plenty of great character writing, symbolism and emotional moments - it's a pretty great package all around

Can't wait for the anime adaption of "Vinland Saga" by WIT Studio (producers of AoT) next year. The manga is about vikings so I'm sure Im will be interested.

I really hope at some point in the future you can react to My Hero Academia. Its such an amazing anime, im sure you'll enjoy it. For now i'll vote FMAB which is also great......but its no My Hero lol either way i'll always watch your reactions. Keep it up man!

The thing to keep in mind is that MHA is an ongoing show and from what I hear, it will be airing for a long time. Meaning, it will become a permanent show in my line up once I start it, so for now I want to focus on shorter shows and ones that are complete. I will definitely watch it at some point :)

Awww what a shame. The Shonen stuff is (unsurprisingly) more popular but hey, nothing more democratic than a poll :-) IMO I'd find it more refreshing to see your reaction to non-Shonen anime after AoT, although of course DeathNote and FMA:B are both great choices. My vote went to CowboyBebop, such a classic with the best English dub there is, even after all these years. As someone mentioned already Monster is a great analytical anime, problem is that it may bore the current audience (maybe somewhere down the line?). My super secret under-the-table recommendation would be Planetes ;-)

Death Note is gonna win, but FMA:B is widely considered significantly better, one of the GOATs. Also knowing you, you’d enjoy FMA:B a lot more. But a poll’s a poll!
