2x7 is rendering right now, I'll post that as well before I hit the bed. tomorrow I will be finishing the show, the remaining 5 episodes, I will space them out through out the day. Then I have a shit load of editing to do XD really excited to be finally caught up tomorrow!

Anonymous

You already implied you'd be doing it by spacing it out, but make sure your energy levels stay up if you're doing 5 in a day. I imagine that shit must be draining when you factor in an unedited post ep session for each.

FILMBuFF

Yep right on 👌🏼 I want to be fully locked in as I watch these final 5 episodes. I might even split them up, 3 today and the final two on Saturday If the post episode discussions end up really lengthy.

Reiner :'( I feel so bad for him and Bert, the way they were tearing up, it always gets to me. I don't know how aware you are of the timeline but Episodes 1-5 took place on the same day that Eren was fighting Annie. Reiner and co. have been up for over a day and have been through hell and then this happens the next morning. There's only so much a person can take before cracking. Congrats on finding out their identities btw, you noticed a lot of hints. Some you missed but you came to the result nonetheless. And seeing how you're so invested in the characters by now, you're going to go on a journey tomorrow!

Just paused the video 90 seconds in to type this comment. It feels so surreal seeing you react to these episodes, when you started AoT it was around 2-3 weeks after this episode first aired and I've wanted you caught up for these last 14 months. It's really great to see it finally happen. Edit : Also, that guy that briefs Eren on Ymir's condition at the beginning of this is the same guy who answered Erwin in episode 20 when he raised his hand asking to prepare for the explosives/set it on Annie's wrists. Him (Keiji) and the ~pink haired girl (Nifa) are part of Hange's squad. Same for Abel (guy with the goggles) and finally Moblit (her trusted assistant).

You actually knew all 5 "intelligent" titans before their reveal. That is so insane. This is exactly why you're my favourite reactor of all time.

Muhd Zulhilmi

Rewatching this I have to point out, besides the madness at the end, the whole episode went on without music. It’s just atmospheric sounds in the background and I think it’s very unsettling and really sets the mood for the episode. And when the music did came, it was amazing. That soundtrack was eargasmic. And also, I like how when the flag pole snapped was also the moment Reiner snapped hahaha very smart the animators. Really glad you reached this episode, one of my favourites of any show. You said the bar is set high now, you have no idea, Im. Enjoy the rest of the season !

Just wanna say that the subtitles in basically every other reaction/format was "and as a warrior... fulfill my duty to the bitter end!", I don't know where that "No Road Left But The Last One That Leads To The END!!!!!" came from but that caught me off guard lmao.

Anonymous

Was it just me or were the subs slightly weird during Reiner's speech? "No Road Left But The One That Leads to the End" is different from what I usually see.

Anonymous

Very off, I've rewatched that scene down to a science and was like where the hell did this line come from?

Muhd Zulhilmi

That line was actually used in the dub version. Not sure why they used it as a sub for this one though. Amazing speech either way

Muhd Zulhilmi

Oh and Im pointed out something as well. Mikasa was not just savage, she was ruthless. She managed to slice (I assume she was trying to behead) Bertoto’s throat and her attempt at Reiner’s was blocked (though he did lost an arm and got a blade lodged in the other). These two were part of their training group for THREE years. Even if Bertholdt didn’t talk much, I’m pretty sure they built a bond during those times. And Mikasa just sliced through them without a thought. Really puts into perspective the length she would go to to protect Eren

When armin jean and reiner where fighting annie, armin told them to pull their hoods so she wont kill them on the spot. Right before reiner was about to attack annie he pulls his hood back and reveals his face. There are lots of this little things. Like in episode 4 when they are training hand to hand. Eren and reiner spot annie trying to sneak away from the training (probably to do titan stuff) and reiner puts eren to fight her. Eren notices that annie looks furious and way too pissed. Thats because reiner got in her way and she felt like being sabotaged or exposed by a "comrade" of hers. And the last one. After annie and eren have that fight scene in the training field annie tells eren "point is, i cant play soldier in this meaningless world". And reiner responds with "then you are not suited to be a warrior". I bet if you rewatch the series at some point you are gonna find that there are tons of those little things.

Is the url down

It's not for me when I clicked on the drive link just now. If it does happen (where it says the video's exceeded the limit bla bla bla) it usually comes back up later, there's just a lot of traffic right now.

AoT Season 2 10/10 imo

Raykel

Make it a 9/10, so you can give the 10/10 to Season 3 xD

hand down best reaction of this episode i ever watch

Anonymous

Your reactions are so good dude because you've spent so much for your time analyzing and getting to know every little detail about these characters. Absolutely amazing dude keep up the great work cant wait for your analyse off these 3 eps

Miss Mewiththat

Later in episode 7 she blames herself for hesitating to kill them, so there was definitely a bond there

Anonymous

Your reactions keep making me cry. Such a fantastic episode and I'm so glad you finally watched it!! You're one of my absolute favourite reactors because you pay attention to all of the little details, even picking up on the mentions of "soldier" and "warrior". Well done, you are truly the Armin of reactors!!

Thank you for having uploaded all these episodes. Worth the 5bucks. Also, what I found funny is that you seem more schocked by Reiner and Berth injuries than the hundred thousand of deaths after these guys broke the wall

Anonymous

Like yourself I had called Reiner after his scene with the female titan. I caught it on a rewatch in preparation for season 2. I never called Berdholt as the colossal though because he wasn't bald 😂. I thought the colossal titan would be bald person because Annie and Reiner looked so much like their's. I knew he'd be a titan though because of the episode 4 stuff. I just never assumed colossal. Cheers for the posts. It's fun seeing you pick your way through it. You're much more perceptive than I am. That's something the series really rewards. I like that they allow you to figure stuff like Reiner and Bertholdt out as early as series 1. The cool thing about the reveal in this episode is that even though the show expects you to know Reiner is the armoured and Bertholdt is a titan they still surprise you with the nature of the reveal.

Muhd Zulhilmi

I think he mentioned that he noticed how hurt and affected Reiner and Bertholdt were but did not dismiss the fact that they killed thousands. Basically, what I got from him is that those two are not your typical black and white bad guy. They are more complex and have reasons for doing what they did

Shawn Lester

Yea, I knew he was a Titan right then too. Ymir took me by surprise, but I had Reiner pegged since the steam that was rising off his skin after he "escaped" from Annie.

Shawn Lester

I also want to point out that while the dub is atrocious 98% of the time, the scene where Reiner tells Eren their true identities was done beautifully. Barely audible due to the distance, and said over Hanji and the other dude talking, "I'm the Armored Titan, and he's the Colossal Titan" I loved the way they dubbed that. Reading the subtitles doesn't give that same effect.

Anonymous

It's not something you expect to ever see in subtitles either, a lot of double takes were done on that day.

Anonymous

It says the url is not correct :( halp

FILMBuFF

Due to heavy traffic Google Drive reached its Playback Limit, it should be reset in a few hours

Thanos D. Alexioy

No road left but the one that leads to the end. It is the dubbed version and i dont know why they put it in there. It sounds cooler but i think it takes away a bit of how reiner feels at that point. The original subs is "....and as a warrior, fulfill my duty, to the bitter end." It hurts him that he has to do this, plus you get the info that this is a duty to him and not just bloodlust or malice.

URL still down

Was it taken down recently? I'm getting an error saying it violated the ToS

FILMBuFF
