I just finished the final concert for my "Impossible Thing In A Week" challenge this morning. It was definitely one helluva week!!

The challenge was to essentially learn the viola [I've never played any bowed stringed instruments before in my life prior] and put together an [approx] hour-long concert in a week.

This is a video of the final concert. As always, I've credited Ninja Club members at the end!

There will be a proper full documentary video for the week that I'll make later down the line too... But for now, I'm going to go collapse into a heap :P

Ninja Club ► https://www.patreon.com/meriamber This is the full Violalation Concert I did on my Twitch stream to conclude my Impossible Thing In A Week Challenge, where I challenged myself to learn the viola [I'd never played the viola or any other bowed stringed instrument prior to the week] and put together an [approx] hour-long concert, in a week. My shoulder may never forgive me :P My viola and bow are from Glasser [I'm not sponsored or endorsed by them, but it's a cool instrument so I thought I'd share]: http://shop.glasserbows.com/Glasser-Carbon-Composite-Acoustic-Electric-Viola-p/ccaexva-5s.htm Massive shout-out to everyone who joined me on my Twitch stream during the week as I streamed my process of learning the viola and putting this concert together. "Da Wizard Of Da Viola" [aka Hedwig's Theme from Harry Potter] was transposed from one of my flute books [Movie Instrumentals for Flute], "Da Game Of Da Places Violas Sit" was transposed from a score I found on MuseScore of the Game Of Thrones Theme for viola by jplay35. The Viola Gang instrumental I used was - https://youtu.be/X4MPeJRsdhc, I wrote the parody lyrics. I worked out the music for "Baby Shark" by ear, the original was by PINKFONG Kids' Songs & Stories. I worked out the music for "Old Town Road" by ear, the original was by Lil Nas X ft Billy Ray Cyrus. I played a snippet of "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley [https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ] The last two songs, "Shoulder Pain Blues" and "Yo Passing Wind And Not Even Wind Instrument", I wrote from scratch. I put the concert together over a week, the same week in which I attempted to learn the viola. It was an "Impossible Challenge In A Week" to essentially put together a full [approx hour-long] concert in a week on viola, which is an instrument I'd never played before [I've also never played any other bowed string instruments]. I streamed the whole process on Twitch and cannot say thank you enough to those who attended the streams, helped and supported. --- Thank you for watching and a huge thank you for subscribing if you've subscribed too!

Meri, once again this was an amazing task that you accomplished. I think you may have inspired me to get off my ass and complete some of the projects I have around here...

It is an incredible achievement to learn to play the viola from scratch in a week and then give an hour concert to the audience at the end. I was lucky to watch the process from the beginning to the end. It was amazing and inspirational. If you want a life time memory I recommend you watch this video.

Thank you so very much!! I've still got a long way to go with improving my viola skills, but I've made a good start and had a lot of fun doing it! I'm so glad you were able to join me along the way!!
