How is it September already!? (September Update) (Patreon)

Hello Fellow Engineers!

Yep, it's September already- time truly flies when you're having fun, and thanks to people like yourselves I truly am living the dream at the moment. I'm having great fun with videos, enjoy streaming, and am generally just feeling super grateful for everything!

Anyway in terms of updates, we returned to CS for the 420,069 special- I will try and revisit this game more as I come up with ideas, though I have nothing planned yet! We started a Minecraft series! Yep, it finally happened, whether this will be a long term thing remains to be seen, but people seem to have enjoyed seeing me noobing about so we'll no doubt do a few more episodes- plus there's a tour of the MC server my Discord made for me which I am VERY excited about having already done 1 part of the tour! Mini Motorways remains a once a week type vid, with similar games (mini metro, freeways etc) slotting around it. Infra is continuing as a once a fortnight series, whilst people love it, the views on it are considerably less than other videos so there's a balance to keeping all my viewers happy! Trailmakers I'm alternating campaign and sandbox videos as and when- Patreon videos are every other Sunday and are usually on a new game. We ahve lined up quite a few upcoming games for the Patreon vids that will include you guys as in game characters which should be cool. Plus I'm trying to squeeze in other new games around all of that too- some of these will also include you guys as in game characters (especially as Timberborn is due for release soon!)! If you're following that mind dump above, well done!

However, things are a bit more serious now as this is currently my job (which is terrifying). So over September you may notice a few more sponsored ad reads and the like, this is something I had been avoiding doing too many of, but I've taken the decision to accept quite a few this month as a bit of an investment. Financially, Schmichael's videos are funded by you guys- if a video he edits flops, I won't lose any money which is good for me obviously, but also him as it adds security to his job. My other editor Scarecrow is currently editing mini motorway videos, thankfully people are still loving those videos so I'm fairly confident on that side too. However, I have taken on some new editors (an editing company) who are very pricey but offer great quality editing with little to no notice required- which can be essential to get me out of tricky situations if I don't have a video ready! I'm trying to spend more time on each video, always trying to push quality, so hiring these guys to do a video once a week really helps with that. So this is where we come back to the sponsorships I am doing this month, I'm viewing it as an investment. These will help to pay these guys for a good few months meaning I don't have to worry about making sure they only edit a video that for actually pay for itself (if that makes sense) so hopefully a few extra ad reads on products that are generally pretty good (don't worry, I'm still turning down Raid for now!) won't be too much of a downside my viewers long term. I wanted to go into that detail here so no one thinks I'm suddenly selling out or anything! It's all to help me make better content for you guys, and maybe more content- if things continue to go well I may consider an extra video a week, we'll see!
