Page 47 WiP (Patreon)

Sneak Peek at Pg 47 in progress. Ok... lots going on. I went into lines from simplified sketches this time, seeing if I could streamline my approach (this is part of a larger experiment with my process and I'll be sharing some of this work with you in the near future). 

I went back and forth a lot on this page, but the goal here was to have Marvin teleport back and forth between the two girls while Billy looks on in frustration. I decided to arrange the panels this way to see if I could get the viewer to read them in a zig-zag fashion (as illustrated in the second example), but much of this will be contingent on speech balloon positioning, and whether or not I decide to include sound effects. This is a risky approach and may confuse the reader rather than work as intended, but hey... what's life and art without a few risks?

Still have to add teleportation effects, clean up some details, and draw one more panel. Wish me luck!
