This sarcastic tutorial from me is somewhat dated now. I don't actually shade this way anymore, but the technique still works. Maybe I'm due to update it someday and to actually write more seriously about the process.

It's tough... but incredibly rewarding. The learning curve is steep, but luckily there are a ton of resources online, and learning has never been easier. Persistence and an open mind are key.

I love moments when you realize that you color sort of the same way as one of your favorite artists! Only.. A few notches worse than your favorite artist of course. Very helpful tutorial!
