2016 character pitch image for Wyit (Patreon)

Here's one I never posted anywhere online, aside from showing it privately to a tiny handful of people back when I was pitching the comic idea around.

Like all my character designs, Wyit initially started off a little too complex, too many little fur pattern things going on that would become complicated when inking a massive book like this. The ear frills and cheetah-like "tears" around his eyes were neat, but added way too much time to the inks and competed for focus with his eyes. Still kinda liked the mop of redder fur he had on his head though, when I was trying to make him ULTRA GINGER.

The cuffed jacket sleeves stuck around. A little stylistic holdover from my Marine days. Wonder if we'll be seeing that sword, though...
