“Kyaaa~!!! This is amazing~! My baby can use magic!” Relena yelled happily, tightly hugging Rosa after seeing her magic.

“M-mother, please, let go!” Rosa begged, feeling as if all the air from her lungs was being squeezed right out of her.

“Oops, sorry,” Relena said, releasing Rosa next to her on the sofa. “I’m just so excited. I must thank Alan and Lyla properly for this gift. Is one mansion enough? Or perhaps two? Maybe a larger bookstore for Alan. Lyla has mentioned before wanting a bigger store or perhaps an alchemy workshop for her. There’s just too much to choose from-”

“Ehem, mother, you need not worry about that,” Roland said, stopping his mother’s rant. “Rosa has already promised them a place here as well as anything that could desire.”

“You did? My baby is so smart~!” Relena yelled, hugging Rosa again. “I’m so glad to have such a wise daughter. Now the royal family will never have a chance to take this Elixir from us.”

She was right. Rosa didn’t think about it at the time, but in the game, after the heroine uses the Elixir several times, she is given a quest to share the knowledge with the royal family, and they eventually run a monopoly on it.

“And to bring home her first maid. She truly is extraordinary!”

“Mother, while I do agree with you that Rosa is amazing, I have to ask. Why is her magic different from ours? Shouldn’t every member of the Dawn family use fire magic? Why does her magic only allow her to create roses?”

Rosa was curious as well, and if anyone did know the answer, it would be her mother.

“Hmm, that’s right, I never did tell you. Your aunt… she used Rose magic, so it shouldn’t be strange that Rosa can use it as well.”

“Aunt?”

Rosa didn’t know that she had an aunt. The game didn’t mention it anywhere.

“Yes, sweetie, your aunt, she was really a kind woman. The roses she created with her magic were beautiful, just like yours.”

“Can I meet her?”

It would be great to meet her aunt. She could learn a lot from her.

“…Rosa, your aunt, she passed away not long after you were born. She… she would have loved to know that you could use the same magic as her.”

“Really?” Rosa asked, holding her mother's hand, feeling that she was about to cry.

“Of course. Rose magic, while very weak, is rare as well. Only women from our family have ever been able to use it. Though the amount of woman that could use it were always scarce. Rosa is a very special girl.”

“But mother won’t others-”

“We will deal with that when the time comes,” she said, cutting Roland off before he could say any more, leaving Rosa confused. “For now, we must celebrate! Go inform your father of this. We must not spare any expense.”

“Yes mother,” Roland said, quickly making his way out of the room with a bright smile on his face.

“Mother, we don’t… we don’t have to celebrate,” Rosa quietly said back to her.

She didn’t want her family to celebrate something like this. She was only able to use magic thanks to the system. It felt wrong to take advantage of them.

“Sweetie, take off your mask and tell me that you don’t want to celebrate. If you do that, we’ll leave the celebration to just a dinner out with the four of us.

Rosa took off her mask, unaware that she had fallen into her mother's trap.

“So, do you want a big celebration?” Relena asked her daughter, pleading with her daughter to make it so.

“I, ngh, I… I want to celebrate…”

“That’s my girl. Now let’s talk attendance. I saw a letter from the daughter of the Eckhart family come in today. I believe that we can invite her, and don’t forget about your grandparents. We also need to make sure that your maid is properly trained and a dress needs to be prepared. Oh, this is going to be so much fun!”

Relena kept prattling on for the next hour or so about the party, wanting to make everything perfect. Though both she and Rosa knew that there would be one major complication, and that would be the crown prince. There was no doubt in either of their minds that the crown prince would attend uninvited. They would have to deal with that when the time comes.

For the next two weeks, the preparation for the party was taken, and tonight was the night they would celebrate.

Rosa was once again gowned up like a beautiful doll by her mother and maids to look absolutely beautiful. She wore a red and black dress and a tiara on her head. She looked like a fairy tale princess.

“Wonderful!” Relena said, standing behind Rosa in front of the mirror. She wanted her daughter to bask in the beauty that she was. “Mary, what do you think?”

“The young miss looks beautiful,” Mary responded calmly to her.

During these past two weeks, Mary has done her best to train to be the best maid possible. She was able to find confidence in herself and serve Rosa with pride. It was only a matter of time before Relena began her training to become a “true maid” of the Dawn family.

“Thank you,” Rosa said to both of them as they began heading to the great hall where the party was being held.

“Lady Dawn, you and your daughter look wonderful.”

“Absolutely gorgeous.”

“Her face might be covered, but that only adds to her elegance.”

“It is an honor to be in the presence of the crown princess.”

Ugh, all of these compliments were bothersome. Rosa knew that they were all trying to get on her good side because she was the crown prince's fiancé. Though she never intended to keep that title. She planned to give it away the first chance that she got.

“Thank you for coming. It’s a pleasure to see you all here for this joyous day,” Relena said, distracting these greedy nobles so that Rosa could find her brother. Though when she did, he was already with someone else.

“For the last time Cerise, I refuse to dance with you,” Roland said to Cerise, who was dressed in a beautiful light purple gown to match her hair.

“You know that if you keep acting like this, no girls will ever ask to dance with you,” Cerise said back to him.

“The only person that I want to dance with is my sister. Today is her day, and she deserves my attention.”

“You know that if you keep clinging to her like this, she’ll end up hating you.”

“Risa would never hate me. I’m her one and only older brother.

Like it or not, Cerise was right. Being too clingy to others can often end up in them hating you. In the game, both Rosa and Cerise were desperately trying to keep their fiancé’s away from the heroine, and they ended up bullying her.

They only want to show their significant others that they care about them and love them, but this clingy love ends up driving them away.

“Greeting, brother and lady Eckhart,” Rosa said, intruding in on their conversation before things got any more heated.

“Rosa! It’s so good to see you!” Cerise happily said, embracing Rosa.

Ever since they first met, they have become avid pen pal’s during these two weeks, sending each other letters whenever they could.

“Cerise, I am glad that you would be able to attend,” Rosa said, embracing her back.

“Of course, I would attend. Why would I miss the celebration of you unlocking your magic when you sent a rose made from it in your invitation? It’s a shame that I didn’t think about doing something like that for the tea party I’m hosting next week. Mother can be very strict with how things are done, so formal invitations were a must.”

“There is nothing to worry about, I know that it will be great.”

Cerise was a hard worker, and Rosa was certain that she prepared properly despite being the same age as herself.

“My lovely sister, you must have come to dance with me,” Roland said, holding out his hand, expecting her to take it, but to his surprise, she did not.

“Sorry big brother, but I want to have my first dance with Cerise.”

“What?”

Roland was shocked. How could his precious sister choose to dance with another girl instead of him? It was ridiculous!

“See, what did I tell you? Being clingy is not going to work out in your favor.”

Cerise slightly mocked him as Rosa led her out to the dance floor.

Thanks to her mother’s lessons, Rosa danced elegantly with Cerise drawing the eyes of many.

“Aww, she looks lovely,” Relena said as she and Robert watched their daughter dance with her friend.

“Indeed she does,” Robert said, knowing that underneath the mask, his daughter was smiling.

If only this could last. Unfortunately, his daughter was dealt a bad hand.

“What the hell is this!?”

Out of know where the crown prince Julian barged his way onto the dance floor and stood in front of the two girls.

“As my fiancé your first dance belongs to me! Move!”

Julian pushed Cerise away from Rosa, gripping her wrists tightly.

[Bonus Quest Activated: The Prince barged into your dance with your friend. Make him pay. Every time you step on his feet during this dance, you are rewarded +1 Villainess Point. Have fun~.]

Rosa was really starting to like this system. More and more, it was giving her quests that she liked. Perhaps it wasn’t bad to be a villainess.

“My prince forgive me,” Rosa said, starting their dance with her stepping on his left foot. “I was not informed that you would be attending today.”

“Watch, nggh, your feet, you clueless girl,” the prince said wincing as she stepped on his feet again. “You are my fiancé and you must make sure never to, nggh, dance with anyone but me.”

“Of course, my prince, whatever you say.”

“Nggh, if it’s whatever I say, then take off the mask.”

“Sorry, my prince, but you already know the rules and I do believe that you know better than to ask me to do that.”

“Ugh, that attitude of yours pisses me off. Nggh! I’m starting to think that you were never beautiful, to begin with. Someone with such a bland personality could never be beautiful.”

The prince was clearly trying to insult her in an attempt to relieve his stress, but it wouldn’t work against her. Her mask was the perfect defense against his idiocy.

“If that is what your highness believes then it must be the truth,” Rosa said back to him in an unconcerned manner, stepping on his feet once more.

“What? Nggh! You aren’t even going to talk back to me?”

“And why would I do that?”

“Tsk, what a boring girl,” the prince said, stopping the dance right there and making his way up to the front of the room where everyone could see him.

[Bonus Quest Over +6 Points]

Hmm, while it was nice that she got extra points, she was more concerned about what the prince was going to do now.

“All of you came here to witness my fiancé’s magic, but why bother with pathetic flowers when you can see this?

CRAKLE!

BOOM!

“Kyaaa~!!!”

“Watch out!”

Lightning started to appear causing chaos across the room.

“Look! This is magic! This is power!”

The lightning started to destroy everything that it came into contact with. Al the attendees were in a panic, worried that they would be hit. And they should be because this was royal magic.

First-born children of the royal family were blessed with a large amount of mana and every elemental magic. It was extremely dangerous, especially when I was at the hands of this idiot crown prince.

Something had to be done, or someone would get hurt. Wait was that!?

“ROSA!”

“M-mother?”

“Before Rosa could realize what had happened, Relena was covering her body with a wall of condensed flames to protect them from lightning, lightning that almost hit Rosa.

“Your highness, that’s enough!” Robert yelled, grabbing Julian and stopping him from using his magic any further.

“You dare touch me!” Julian yelled, not realizing that he had almost killed Rosa. “Unhand me!”

“Your highness you’ve gone too far. Widespread Area magic has long since been banned by your father. Do you understand the damage that you caused and the harm that could have happened?”

“Why should I care? I’m the prince. Those rules mean nothing to me. Isn't that right my dear fiancé.”

“M-m-mother almost… almost… died… I… no… no… I…”

Unable to handle the stress, Rosa found herself blacking out, only to discover the consequences later.
